Jennifer Lawrence In Christian Dior Couture – ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1′ Cannes Film Festival Photocall

Jennifer Lawrence In Christian Dior Couture - ‘The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 1' Cannes Photocall

Jennifer Lawrence attended ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1’ photocall during the 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival this afternoon (May 17) in Cannes, France.

Wearing her second Dior look of the day, the actress wore a Spring 2014 Couture two-piece consisting of a white A-line crop top featuring a landscape print with an A-line skirt marrying sharp lines and softness.

I love the paillettes details on the look, which adds to the fresh, clean appeal.

Silver metallic Christian Louboutin pumps, Ana Khouri yellow-gold and diamond pearl Charlotte ring, and triangle-shaped Irene Neuwirth earrings completed her look.

I was tempted to say this look was too twee for her, but realised that this was because she usually dresses too old for her age.

It’s refreshing to see her in something so youthful.

I am probably giving this more credit than it deserves, but it’s young and fun and still has Dior on the label, I love this: After Léa’s delicious suit my favourite photocall look so far.

Raf Simons is so hit and miss…. I’m in two minds about the print on the bodice, I think it would be too plain without it, but I don’t love it. Despite that, I think Jennifer looks so cute and fresh.

She has to attend lots of events where it calls for her to look older (Golden Globes, BAFTA, Oscars). I wanted this dress when I first saw it. Since I don’t get to have it I’m glad to see Jennifer in it. The dress shows off her toned legs once again and perfect amount of midriff. The shoe choice and accessories pulled it all together. Kudos to her stylist.

Not liking the crop top but otherwise she looks cute.

Very chic and fresh, love it. And I also love her hairstyle

I must say, Jennifer has been looking great lately. Her hair has been flattering for the first time since she cut it, her makeup has been flawless and her style choices have improved!
I personally love this whole ensemble on her. When her stylist is not trying to make her appear “fashion forward” she usually gets it right.
I hope she keeps it up!

    okay at best

I wish she wore gorgeous colored heels that pick up the colors of her top. This is a good start though.

This might be the most (and one of the very few) successful Dior and J-Law pairings. Love it.

    unlike
Lea and Prada or Blake and Gucci , this tie up is not a good one. i think this is an ugly look and does not flatter her at all.

agreed. I don’t really like her style lately, she doesn’t impress me at all with her dress choices. This ensemble is quite shocking on her, not because it’s moe youthful than ever, but because it is so NOT Jennifer that quite scares me

I really love the youthfulness of this!
The only thing that puzzles me is her serious expression. I don’t think I’ve ever seen her on the red carpet without a big smile.

Love her hair and makeup. Don’t really like the clothes.

  13. Papiki May 17, 2014 at 19:13 #

It’s a good look! Fun and youthful! Nothing exciting!

  14. Clara May 17, 2014 at 18:57 #

Very very pretty, perfect on her and for a daytime event.

  15. Kelly May 17, 2014 at 18:55 #

I don’t know, I wouldn’t choose this for Cannes and I don’t think it flatters her body

  16. Grace Patricia May 17, 2014 at 18:51 #

Love the beachy vibe of this look. The only thing I dislike about this look is her eye makeup that always make her hooded eyes look smaller.

  17. Yeliz May 17, 2014 at 18:13 #

This youthful, fresh, summery look is so gorgeous! I love the ensemble, she looks delightful.

For very long time, I didn’t like anything Jennifer wore from Dior. But this one looks very beautiful and youthful (as you said).

  19. Christine May 17, 2014 at 18:07 #

She looks great! Loving her new looks.

  20. pinksugar May 17, 2014 at 18:07 #

I think this is flat out ugly. Despise the print on the top and the fact it is cropped (yawn). The look as a whole seems too tween for her.

    • Susie May 17, 2014 at 18:25 #

      +1

  21. justme May 17, 2014 at 18:01 #

Youthful was the exact word that came to my mind.
She is dressed like a 23 y-o, instead of an older lady trying to be hip, which she sadly often is.

    Cute look.

  22. shontay May 17, 2014 at 17:58 #

I think this is fresh and fun. I’d wear this if I had the body for it. She’s been choosing better Dior pieces lately. Good for her.

  23. Alina May 17, 2014 at 17:57 #

I like this new approach – more youthful, more fresh, just better!

    • Kate May 17, 2014 at 17:58 #

I totally agree! She looks great.

      • Christine May 17, 2014 at 18:07 #

Agreed. Her best look in a long while!
