Dakota Fanning In Chanel Couture – Chanel Cruise 2015

Dakota Fanning In Chanel - Chanel Cruise 2015Dakota Fanning joined Tilda Swinton at the Chanel Cruise 2014/2015 photo call, hosted at The Island in Dubai on Tuesday (May 13).

Also donning a Chanel piece, the young starlet showed off a masterwork from the Spring 2014 Couture collection.

The corseted midriff, which pervaded this collection, was present here. But it was the dark mix of multi-coloured, near-iridescent feathers that fluttered across the entire frock that really made this an exotic head-turner.

The artistry of the dress had me at hello, but I wanted to say a firm goodbye to the unpolished and uninspired styling. This would have been the perfect opportunity for a sleek updo, a statement lip colour and anything besides black pumps.

The hair looks limp and I think the dress is ugly.

The dress is pretty, original and exciting, can give a pass to the simple pumps but the dull, unpolished hair/makeup are unforgivable, totally let the look down.

I agree. I’m actually really okay with the pumps because I understand not wanting to detract from the dress that’s so eye-catching and beautiful. But the hair looks like it hasn’t even been brushed. A sleek ponytail would have been much preferred.

there’s a lot going on in this dress, so I actually think the black pumps are the perfect choice, but the limp/dishevelled hair and greasy make up… no. just NO.

Unforgivable is the right word. This dress deserves another outing by someone like Emma Stone who is always on point when it comes to hair and makeup.

I really really love the dress, but when will Dakota, or her makeup artist, learn to use face powder?

The dress is marvelous but the styling is a letdown. The hair is so limp too

Looks like she literally rolled out of bed and into Chanel, what an insult!

Wow, what a way to ruin a gorgeous couture dress! The shoes are fine but she really needed to do something with her hair and makeup….huge disappointment

What a beautiful dress! Disappointed with the hair and styling though, they don’t do it justice. It’s like she threw on the dress but put in no extra effort at all.

If it wasn’t for that hair this would have been amazing.

What a waste. The dress is gorgeous, but everything else about this is awful.

I would have loved to see this on someone like Keira Knightley.

    Actually like the dress!

I had such high hopes for this dress and sadly this is what I got. Many a good dress have been wasted on Dakota due to CONSTANT poor styling and awful hair and makeup. I am just gonna keep admiring the dress and forget the rest.

The dress is a piece of art, but it’s let down by that limp hair and her boring accessories.

This dress is one of the most gorgeous things I have seen, the runway really did not do it justice. I actually like the simple styling (black pumps + box clutch) and I don’t mind the no make up,but her hair is unforgivable.

She doesn’t pull this dress off,it’s too rock n roll for her.It would look better on someone like Katy Perry or Rihanna.

why the criticism of dakota’s shoes when tilda wore them with a much simpler outfit without nearly as much distaste for them?

I like this look and the dress is really pretty.
