Michelle Obama In Naeem Khan - Costume Center Grand Opening

Michelle Obama joined Anna Wintour in cutting the ribbon for the Costume Center grand opening held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday (May 5) in New York City before the Met Gala.

Wearing her go-to designer, the First Lady looked divine in her Naeem Khan Spring 2014 forest-green floral appliqué 3/4-sleeve dress styled with beige Jimmy Choo ‘Isabel’ kitten heels.

The dress, which was originally presented in red, marks the 15th time Mrs O has donned a Naeem Khan frock.

I love the tender moment below with Anna Wintour and Michelle.

She looks quite good but I think the dress makes her looks a little bit wider than she is.

I think she looks nice but I think the red version would have suited her more.

It’s clear that she was going for a simple, understated, but classic look. The red would have been too showy for this daytime affair. Mrs Obama is a very tall woman with such an imposing presence already – a red dress for that occasion (one filled with some of the most judgmental egos in fashion no less), might have elicited some not so warm responses.

Kitten heels are terrible. Glad she opted for the green color. Looks good! Nice to see Anna genuinely smiling

She looks lovely apart from the shoes. The pictures of her with Anna are indeed very nice.

I don’t think the dress is that flattering on her lower half. The close up is lovely.
