Victoria Beckham In Victoria Beckham – 2014 Met Gala

Victoria Beckham In Victoria Beckham - 2014 Met Gala

Victoria Beckham strikes her signature pose on the red carpet for the 2014 Met Gala in New York City on Monday (May 5).

Wearing a white strapless self-designed gown, the look has an all too familiar silhouette.

The Met Gala would’ve been a great chance for Victoria to step out of her comfort-zone.

A ball-gown or trouser suit with a ball-skirt would’ve been welcome changes, however, there so no faulting that this is an amazing look.

Glossy tresses and Jacob & Co. jewels providing the finishing touches.

y dont celebs realize that it does not hurt to have a fuller body…..here it seems the dress is hung on a skeletal…………nothing glamorous abt it…..justthe opposite.scarrrrrryyyyyyy

It doesn’t hurt to be skinny either. Stop skinny-shaming. Calling a skinny person scary is just as offensive as calling a fat person scary.

What does this comment have to do with fashion?
This is a good but forgettable look

it does have to do with fashion ….wen u wear clothes…it should ppeal to other….n sadly this doesnt…i love the gown, jewellery hai everything except if she would have had a fuller figure, then i think she would have looked sensational…but that is just my opinion….its not necessary that others should agree with me……after all we are allowed to our own opinions….

Nice, but as with Rachel McAdams, the look isn’t on theme or dramatic enough for this event.

  7. Mandy May 6, 2014 at 01:15 #

Looks far too simple for this event.

  8. Milla B. May 6, 2014 at 01:18 #

It is a good dress, but forgettable.

    Boring. What a shame.

Being a naturally skinny girl, it annoys me every time people tell me I would look better if I put on more weight. I’m trying ok! Anyhow, she looks great here but wish she wore something more dramatic. The fact that her best arm candy is missing in the picture is not helping either ;)

I personally love simple, it is so rarely memorable and so rarely done to such perfection, I think that this is a bold choice by itself because the look has nothing to fall back on.

Aww, Victoria looks lovely! I remember some scary Met nights for her, so this is a step in the right direction. I think she learned her lesson to go with simple elegance. Beautiful!

I’m not a fan of these white shoes. And since she wont go for something unexpected anyways, black ones would be better.

It’s a great look but not for this event. I wish she wore the finale dress in her Fall 2014 collection. I loved that dress. So not VB but it’s the MET! :)

  15. Dhppy May 6, 2014 at 07:11 #

It has nothing to do with the theme, but I really like it. I wish there were a statement necklace here.

I personally love, it’s simple and chic.
But not for tonight! As much as I love Victoria’s understated style, I wish the old Victoria had come out to play tonight. The one who used to take fashion risks and enjoyed making heads turn on the red carpet. Sadly, I think that Victoria is long gone…

I was definitely thinking about her Posh days. Especially since I recently felt nostalgic and watched Spice World.

  17. Betelgeuze May 6, 2014 at 08:20 #

She looks gorgeous, definitely. But with her being Victoria Beckham and wearing her own dress, I’d expect her to try a bit more with the gown style.

  18. Regina May 6, 2014 at 09:43 #

Really like the dress and hair, but she should not be wearing such heavy eye make up, I think it ages her.

  19. Styler May 6, 2014 at 11:43 #

Oh wow, it’s silently striking. Lovely look.

Meh. Predictable. I know it’s customary for people to wear their own designs, but the Met Gala is an opportunity to go outside your comfort zone and really go for it!

For me, this is the best look at the event.
