Taylor Swift In Oscar de la Renta – 2014 Met Gala

Taylor Swift struck a pose on the red carpet at the 2014 Met Gala on Monday (May 5) in New York City.

The singer and red carpet darling wore a custom Oscar de la Renta gown of pale pink embellished satin accented with Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

Old Hollywood glamour is a signature for Ms. Swift, and it’s the perfect styling for her gown–the bright red lip, the cat eye, the deep side part and curls–all perfectly on point.

On a night like tonight it’s hard to shine, but Taylor certainly does a good job of turning heads with this classically beautifully look.

Too matronly for a 24 yr old.

Not liking the red lip with this look. Otherwise she looks pretty and easily forgettable.

I thought the red lip was off, too.

I think this is beautiful and classy – it reminds me of something Grace Kelly would have worn.

+1!! The back of the dress and train is divine! It is what made the dress for me.

I’m not blown away, but there’s nothing wrong with this look. It’s fine.

YAWN and it doesnt even look like it fits her around the hips properly. It looks too big for her.

  13. AnnaLee May 6, 2014 at 12:21 #

She looks pretty. But the back of the dress is really stunning! I also think the red lipstick is too harsh for the dress.

  14. Pedro May 6, 2014 at 12:38 #

    She can do way better.

Love the color & silhouette, it’s quite classic and on-theme (can’t tell you how much it irritates me when celebrities don’t even PRETEND to acknowledge the subjhect of the exhibit). The bow in the back is what made this dress so stunning, though. Just enough drama without being over-the-top.

One again my jaw dropped. YES. This is what this night is about. She is currently in my favorites, with Karolina, Bee Shaffer, and Emmy Rossum. Taylor always delivers at the Met.
