Suki Waterhouse In Burberry – 2014 Met Gala

Suki Waterhouse In Burberry - 2014 Met Gala

Suki Waterhouse strikes a fierce pose on the red carpet for the 2014 Met Gala in New York City on Monday (May 5).

Dressed in a frothy pink Burberry strapless, tiered creation, the romance is somewhat lost on me with that deep, harsh red lip.

My eye went straight to the lip despite all that lovely detail north of her shoulders.

The hair is awful, doing her forehead no good at all, the dark lip is fine and the dress is pretty, the colors are sweet but the fit is off, it just doesn’t seem to fit round the bust at all.

I personally love the dark lip with the soft pink dress. Very striking!!
This is a great look for her IMO

While I do agree that my eyes go straight to the lips first, for me, that wasn’t a con. I LOVE the contrast. On someone else it may not have worked but on this girl with this styling it looks so right.

I like her lip color but that’s it.

A gorgeous princess moment. That lip is to die for!

This may be my favorite look ever from her!

The dark lip is what makes this a modern take on a dress with a 1950’s vibe.

I actually think the deep red lipstick is the only interesting part of her look.
Her hair is a mess and I can’t overlook the fact that her dress is about to fall off.

The top sits a bit too low but she is still one of my favourites so far. She looks stunning, I love the lip colour with this gown.

I agree with Christine. I like the whole look, including the lipstick. I wasn’t getting classic romance and froth from the dress, but something more distressed, a little Victorian Gothic despite the light colour, and I thought the dark-ish lipstick worked well.

Agreed, there’s a bold approach to this that works…it’s unexpected yet feminine. I like it!

I like it from the neck up. Looks like the dress is about to fall off which is interesting since she seems to have a small bust.

+1 thats the first thing I thought too.

I actually like the blood red lip contrast against the blush gown! Really pretty.

I agree! The lippie is wayyyy to harsh for this look and I don’t like the hair.

It’s a shame because with a nice pink lip and maybe some nice finger waves or curls this could be a knockout.

I like this.Very gorgeous! Love the makeup
