Reese Witherspoon In Stella McCartney – 2014 Met Gala

Reese Witherspoon stunned at the red carpet for the 2014 Met Gala on Monday (May 5) in New York City.

The blonde beauty went with a Stella McCartney strapless pink gown. The neckline was almost heart-shaped with a twist and the dress continued down in a statuesque form ending in a slight soft train.

But the Hollywood glamour did not stop there. She complemented the dress with a simplistic bangle on her forearm and stunning diamond earrings. Her soft curls framed her face and her makeup consisted of cateyes and matching pink lips. Absolute perfection.

Not only was this another of my favorite looks of the night but, was anyone else excited to see the Oscar winner wear pink? Just like her ‘Legally Blonde’ days, but better!

    Underwhelming but she looks nice

    Perfection!

This is ok I think. But almost everyone wore boring and totally unrelated to the theme of the night. I doesn’t have to be the weirdest dress ever (Lupita risked in the wrong night. Her dress may be dating but it is a MESS and has no correlation to James style) but if you look at Charles James designs (the ones wore by Milicent Rogers), you can see that they were classically elegant and still interesting to look at.

All I could think was: Reese, you are NO Marilyn Monroe (in fact, you’re highly fortunate to have risen so high on so little; ouch, sorry).

What a surprise from Reese Witherspoon – this is closer to her Oscar’s win era fashion and attitude. I love this for what it could mean for her red carpet future, no more of that, “It’s nice for me to dress up once in a while, I’m a mom, see, look at my pretty sleeveless dress!”.

If it was not for the ‘nipple area’ situation (fabric pulling in odd places), I would love this dress.

Yes, something went a little funky in the bodice fit, but I think she looks just fabulous here! Lovely color and silhouette for her. Perfect styling.

Very blah. She has been wearing these types of dresses and today is no different.

Not liking the bodice, but the color is just lovely on her.

One of the best of the night for sticking to the theme and at the same time not wearing something expected.

Her make-up and hair look flawless.

I’m not a fan of the hairstyle and I find this look rather underwhelming. I also dislike the fit at the bust.

The hair ruins this look for me…
