Jessica Alba In Diane von Furstenberg – 2014 Met Gala

Jessica Alba In Diane von Furstenberg - 2014 Met Gala

For the 2014 Met Gala held in New York City on Monday (May 5), Jessica Alba attended as the guest of Diane von Furstenberg, joining fellow DVF Met Gala attendees Olivia Munn and Selena Gomez.

The actress wore a custom gold lace gown which was boosted by a flirty V-neckline.

Designed to shimmer and captivate from every angle, the look was styled with a DVF ‘Sutra’ clutch, an IPPOLITA 18k gold stardust pave-diamond branch reef ring, and gorgeous gold drop earrings.

Beauty-wise, I have one word: flawless.

Nothing to complain about, but I don’t think I’ll remember this at the end of the year.

If it wasn’t for the close up, I’d agree with you. Don’t much care for skirt or clutch, but that hair, that make up, wow! I want to say there’s something classic about her, you know Ancient Greek-classic. Is that Helen coming to mind?

    makeup & hair : perfect
    dress & pose : snooze

It’s either the fit or the pose but that dress does nothing for her midsection :/

I agree. It should’ve been tighter along the waist. It looks like it hasn’t been tailored properly.
It’s not a very exciting dress anyway, Jessica can and has done better.
Her hair and makeup however are both beyond stunning!

This gown makes her look pregnant. Her styling is flawless.

The dress looks too big on her.

I agree but I love the hair and makeup.

Jessica Alba is a beautiful woman but there is something about the way she dresses that I find a bit blah and safe.I think she really needs to crank it up a notch, same goes for Julia Roberts.

    Stunning !

She looks beautiful but this does not stand out

Very pretty. Her make-up is flawless.

From the neck up she is flawless, but the drape of that dress is extremely unflattering. (She isn’t pregnant, is she?)
    Major disappointment. *sigh*

There are events made for stepping out of your comfort zone, the Met Gala being one of them. But over the years I have learned to appreciate people who really know themselves, what they´re about, their style and personality… Jessica Alba is a master of this.

I may not remember this look at the end of the year (I wont), but at least Ive thought ‘pretty’. If you cant do ‘go big or go home’ or if you cant take the theme properly on board without it seeming like you’ve fancy dressed, then just be beautiful for gods sake.

Pretty dress, pretty girl, nice styling; but this is the Met Gala; you shouldn’t be saying pretty, this is the night where you’re supposed to stun

Great hair and makeup, but the dress isn’t to my taste.
