Elizabeth Olsen also attended the 2014 Met Gala, hosted this evening (May 5) at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
In a sea of sweeping gowns, the starlet stood out for her head-to-toe Miu Miu look, eschewing a long dress in favour of a custom-designed pale blue mini, encrusted with heavy-handed crystal embroidery along the décolleté and sleeves.
In what can only be explained by the signature quirk of Miuccia Prada, Elizabeth paired the pastel frock with primary colours via red and yellow satin strappy sandals.
Not content to stop there, another strange, clashing tone was added via a metal-framed turquoise satin clutch.
While from the neck up, Elizabeth was rather lovely with her smokey mauve eye and red lip, the rest of the ensemble had about as much appeal as a figure-skating costume, which is to say, hardly any at all.
From the failed illusion nude neckline to the over-the-top glittery embellishment and the long sleeves that came to a diamond point at the hand, all this look was missing was a pair of ice skates.
