Anne Hathaway In Calvin Klein – 2014 Met Gala

Anne Hathaway In Calvin Klein - 2014 Met Gala

Usually on Met Gala night you can predict the designer that Anne Hathaway is going to wear, but she gave us something different at the ‘Charles James: Beyond Fashion’ event on Monday (May 5) in New York City.

She wore a Calvin Klein strapless square-neckline gown featuring a sheer insert at the waist and a central slit in the skirt.

The look was styled with metallic Gianvito Rossi ‘Rebel’ pumps and an octagon Rauwolf clutch in deep-red hues (which may appear black on your screen), plus Vhernier Pan di Zucchero diamond earrings.

If I was to nitpick, I would’ve loved a slicked-back ‘do, and would’ve removed the earrings to strengthen the minimalism of this look further.

I like the dress on her. However disagree about the comment about wanting her hair slicked back – the way she wore it adds softness to her face that has been missing for quite a while now, she looks lovely.

I agree – her hair looks perfect and her face is beautiful! Sh looks amazing in red.- so even though its minimalist at least the colour makes it stand out – unlike all the washed out pinks, beige, greys.

+2. I love her hair. This is the best she’s looked in a while and I’m loving it.

Not the most exciting look of the night nor the most original dress. But she looked beautiful and chic. Anne always looks amazing in red!

I actually like her hair here. I think this is the best she has looked in a long time.

+1 definitely my favourite from her in a while. though I have to agree with fc about the earrings.

Agreed. She looks good but not my favorite in a long mile

This look didn’t really stand out, but she looks fantastic. I wouldn’t change a thing.

Like Rachel McAdams, there’s no denying that Anne looks pretty. But the look is boring.

oh look, a silhouette and style we’ve never seen on her before. Oh, wait …

Love the silhouette of the dress & the red. Agree, the earrings take a lot of the simple cleanness away from the look.

Love the makeup and the color of the dress That’s about it.

I love the way her hair is and I think the earrings add to the look. Without them this would have been boring.

Love the color but not the style.

She looks beautiful, but nothing close to the statement of last year.

  14. Nuria May 8, 2014 at 06:28 #

Oh my god, someone teach this poor girl how the wear. She’s always to basic, to boring to simple, there’s nothing new and interesting about this look.
