Sofia Vergara In Romona Keveza – 100th Annual White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner

Sofia Vergara In Romona Keveza - 100th Annual White House Correspondents' Association Dinner

Sofia Vergara attended the 100th Annual White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner held at the Washington Hilton on Saturday (May 3) in Washington, DC.

As you know I have never been much of a fan of Sofia’s style.

However, on this occasion I’m blown away.

Wearing a Romona Keveza Spring 2014 gown featuring a metallic gold thread linen bodice with an asymmetrical neckline andhe fluted-shape blush skirt.

Sometimes her overt, in-your-face sexiness is the off putting factor in her red carpet looks, however, this look marries elegance and sex appeal in a soft, subtle way. Bravo Ms Keveza.

Did Sofia need the Lorraine Schwartz yellow diamond choker?

Perhaps not, but it complements her bodice perfectly along with her pear shaped diamond drop earrings, and pearl and yellow diamond ring by the famed jeweler.

I really really hate the lighter hair color. Why is she trying to look white?? The hair + the choker kill this look for me.

Sofia would look pretty in a trash can. I love her hair and makeup. I love the dress too but think it would have looked a lot better without the necklace.

I hate the choker overall, hate it in every gown shot, but her close-ups, oh my God she’s so beautiful. I think maybe she have liked the gilded effect sort of, underlining her face. I don’t know, it’s like an accessory for her face.

I’m in the minority, but I’m like meh

Her makeup is flawless. I think it was smart to ditch the belt but the necklace ruined the look 🙁

I miss the belt and the choker is unnecessary.

I adore the navy skirt version, it’s a bit more exciting, but her version is gorgeous too, just wish she’d kept the belt. The gown fits and highlights her figure perfectly but Sofia’s styling typically lacks refinement for me – tone down the eye makeup, ditch the chunky choker, opt for an elegant updo for a more sophisticated finish. Overall, it’s great to see her in a more modern type of a form-fitting gown that she seems to favor, she looks fantastic.

Agree with everyone about the choker. The dress is gorgeous on her.

I wish had traded in the choker for the belt. But for her, this is definitely an improvement.

Absolutely gorgeous and I don’t even mind the choker even if it wasn’t necessary. One of her best looks imo.

Missing the belt + suffocating choker = I wish that necklace had been a belt.

I miss the belt and I do not mind the choker on this occasion

I wish she’d picked the navy skirt version.
    No comment on the choker.

I agree – she looks good but the navy is amazing and with that belt- perfection!

The choker and hair almost ruin the look for me, almost. The dress is simple, and yet very elegant. I love the colouring of it all.

Wow. A sleek low pony or elegant chignon might be nice but wow.

  17. Valissa May 4, 2014 at 13:02 #

Gorgeous and elegant. One of the few times I’m actually wow’ed by her!

  18. Alina May 4, 2014 at 12:52 #

The dress looks so good on her – just the right balance between sexy and elegant.

I simply hate the choker and I wish she’d go back to her dark locks.
