Logie Awards 2014

2014 Logie Awards - Arrivals

There were plenty more local celebs aside from Kylie and Dannii Minogue who attended the 2014 Logie Awards held at Crown Palladium on Sunday (April 27) in Melbourne, Australia.

Kate Ritchie: The former child actress is now with child, showcasing her baby bump on the red carpet wearing a deep-plum off-the-shoulder gown by her favourite designer: Steven Khalil. Featuring a thigh-high slit and dramatic train, the actress styled her maternity red carpet look with a gold clutch and maroon pumps.

Logie Awards 2

Jennifer Hawkins: Working a sexier look, the starlet wore a white Toni Maticevski two-piece featuring an off-the-shoulder crop top and a high-waist maxi skirt which was cut, twisted and embellished, creating a directional look. Beach waves and a gold cuff completed her look.

Asher Keddie: Usually my favourite at this event, I’m not sure Asher is pulling off this edgier piece by J’Aton Couture. The leather and sheer dress embroidered with a beautiful pattern isn’t the issue; it’s more the lacklustre hair and makeup. Such a bold look deserved more effort.

Logie Awards 3

Jesinta Campbell: The most breathtaking of the night goes to Jesinta in her Steven Khalil long-sleeved white gown. Although the look feels quite heavy, the style and tailoring set this look apart from a lot of the looks that featured on this red carpet.

Natalie Bassingthwaighte: The X Factor Australia judge stepped out in a gorgeous lilac creation by Bei Na Wei which was cut asymmetrically to flaunt her toned physique without revealing too much. A bold red lip and finger-wave retro ‘do enlivened this look, along with her Bensimon diamond jewels and metallic Saint Laurent clutch, which I wish was much smaller. I’m not a fan of the nude Casadei ‘Blade’ pumps; like the clutch, the dress needed metallic footwear.

Logie Awards 4

Carrie Bickmore: The presenter gave us the Carrie Underwood moment of this event, wearing a spectacular Paolo Sebastian gown with an intricate lace-embellished short-sleeved top and dramatic ball skirt accented with a metal waistband.

Paula Abdul: Providing the most sparkle on this red carpet, the singer wore a dazzling pink embellished long-sleeved Steven Khalil gown with a chic updo. This is the best she has looked in a long while.

Logie Awards 5

Jessica Marais: The actress wore a high-shine J’Aton Couture off-the-shoulder shimmering silver gown with beaded detailing on the bodice and cuffs styled with a matching clutch. If I could change two things about this look it would be the pumps – which draw attention away from the frock as they don’t complement it very well – and that neck piece.

Kate Peck: Like Natalie, Kate also opted for an asymmetrical look. Kate’s Arthur Galan AG look had a lot more bite with its dramatic black and white stripes.

Logie Awards 6

Sonia Kruger: The TV presenter wore an embellished red lace Alex Perry one-sleeve gown which is fitted at the bodice before fanning out into a flowing train. Styled with a matching clutch and neutral makeup, this is yet another winning look from this red carpet.

Laura Dundovic: Working a strapless central-slit Aurelio Costarella chartreuse gown, I like the model’s styling of the look; however, I am not a fan of the red lip with this look.

Lauren Phillips: The TV presenter also wore an Aurelio Costarella design with a central slit. Her white halter design featured an embellished neckline, which she showcased with her hair swept up into a ponytail.
