Sammi Cheng In Roberto Cavalli - 33rd Hong Kong Film Awards

Sammi Cheng, nominated in the Best Actress category for her role in ‘Blind Detective’, was escorted down the red carpet for the 33rd Hong Kong Film Awards on Sunday (April 9) in Hong Kong by actor Louis Koo.

The actor was in danger of upstaging Sammi in his white tuxedo jacket and red bow-tie, however, the drama was of Sammi’s Roberto Cavalli black gown was all at the back; featuring a gold serpent, accented with gold chains holding it in place.

You may remember that Sharon Stone wore this same gown in white to the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala during Cannes Film Festival last year.

Like I said on the Sharon Stone post, the back is all types of wrong and tacky. This still applies even if the gown is black.

Louis, on the other hand, looks dashing.

Still can’t stand the back, but otherwise she wears it much better than Sharon with all her unnecessary accessories.

The gown would be quite lovely without all that hardwear. Her styling is suitably vampy, but it all like they are in costume.

She looks better than Sharon for sure. Maybe is because the dress is black, so it helps to look less tacky.
