Hilary Rhoda In Jason Wu – Tiffany & Co. Celebrates The 2014 Blue Book

Hilary Rhoda In Jason Wu - Tiffany & Co Celebrates The 2014 Blue Book

Hilary Rhoda joined Katie Holmes, Kate Bosworth and Jessica Biel on the red carpet for Tiffany’s 2014 Blue Book Gala at the Guggenheim Museum on Thursday (April 10) in New York City.

Working a dressy-casual look, the model wore a Jason Wu Spring 2014 look which may not have been a gown, but was considerably more appealing than Katie Holmes’ sartorial choice.

The look featured a navy knit sweater teamed with a bias-cut elegant midi skirt with a beautiful fluid shape that was embellished with shimmering sequins throughout to create a painterly effect.

While the skirt might be a tad too revealing for some, my disappointment lies with her Tabitha Simmons shoes. I would’ve preferred something simple and plain like the navy Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals or the Saint Laurent ‘Jane’ sandals.

Her hideous chosen shoes are so heavily embellished that they almost upstage her skirt.

If you would change one part of this look would it be the sheer embellished skirt or the shoes?

I don’t know: the runway look is intresting but for the event that sweater is wrong, to me…
shoes are ok, maybe too contrasting with the skirt

This could be a perfect look, why those shoes? Why?!?

Ugh at the shoes! She normally hits the right notes on the red carpet, but this is not a good look

Tacky, tacky, tacky. Given the disproportionately broad shoulders, I can’t choose just one thing to change because this look is a total fail for me.

The thing I would change about this look is to line the skirt.

The shoes could’ve been better but I’m much more bothered by the sheerness of the skirt. The aside it’s a really great look. I love the colour and her makeup.

The shoes are all wrong and i would have prefered a lined skirt. But this look isn’t very event appropriate in my book.

The black accessories are nothing short of atrocious. But as much as I want to like the skirt, I just can’t. Shame.

I love the skirt except for the fact that it is sheer. This is not necessary. Otherwise, she looks gorgeous.

I think the sheerness thing only works if it runs through the entire ensemble. This solid sweater at the top doesn’t work with the sheer bottom. Perhaps, if she had a solid mini-slip of some kind underneath, it would flow better. The shoes are definitely too busy for the outfit.

I wish the skirt were lined but the sweater would have still been too casual for the occasion, maybe for a screening or something. I wish the shoes were in blue.

I really hate the “I can see your panties” sheer skirts.

    I see London! I see France! …..
