Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Alexander McQueen – Blenheim War Memorial

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Alexander McQueen - Blenheim War Memorial

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge left baby Prince George on Day 4 of their three-week tour of Australia and New Zealand.

On Thursday (April 10) the couple flew fifteen minutes to Blenheim, New Zealand for a ceremony at the Blenheim War Memorial.

The duchess selected a smart Alexander McQueen coat in a delightful cornflower-blue colour accented with a belt and pleated back, which she wore over a navy dress.

For a refreshing change to her usual hairdo, the Duchess had scooped her brunette locks into an elegant ponytail, which showed off her beautiful diamond-and-sapphire drop earrings which matched her ring.

Navy pumps and a matching clutch completed her look.

love the coat, great cut and nice color. Kate should just wear McQueen at this point. she usually gets it right when she picks them

This time she gets more things right than wrong. The colour of the coat and her hair but why navy blue accessories ? They kill the colour of the coat

    The coat is gorgeous

I think the coat is a bit too long, but it is a very nice coat. I like the ponytail.

I agree about the length. Not sure about the accessories, but I’m glad the pumps aren’t black or nude. I’m already happy that they are any other colour.

I really like this look. I like the navy shoes and bag.

Head to toe perfection. I agree that she should just stick with McQueen, as she rarely ‘misses’ in the label.

This is a great look for her. Ladylike without being boring. And her hair looks great like this. A+.

I love the colour of the coat. I’m not a fan of the accessories.

The coat is really great, but her styling is a snoozefest.

the coat is gorgeous, the pony looks nice, but i wish just once she would skip that dreadful black eyeliner on the lower lash line.

I’m confused. Is royal family not allowed to wear interesting shoes? I mean, I don’t know, maybe it’s a dress code or something. But she always wears same kind of boring shoes. Which sometimes feels quite out of place with interesting pieces like this coat, for example.

I wish she had trotted out that silverleaf brooch again. It’s looking a little spare.
