Emma Stone In Saint Laurent – ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Rise of Electro’ London Photocall

Emma Stone In Saint Laurent Spring 2014 - 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Rise of Electro' London Photocall

Emma Stone attended ‘The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Rise of Electro’ photocall held at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel on Wednesday (April 9) in London, England.

Now this is a menswear-inspired look I can fully get on board with.

The actress, who is in town ahead of tomorrow’s London premiere, wore a Saint Laurent Prince of Wales check double-breasted suit with tapered trousers styled with a smart buttoned-up white shirt and black Christian Louboutin pumps.

Without a hair out of place, she worked a smoky grey eye and glossy nude lip, rounding off the look with a selection of jewels including EF Collection diamond pyramid rose-gold earrings.

I’m delighted she is keeping up the chic tailored looks for the promo tour, but I would love to see a gown or something super sexy for tomorrow’s premiere.

While I don’t love the boxiness of the jacket, I do love that Emma is giving off a very Diane Keaton-esque vibe. Her hair and makeup are flawless

I agree on the hair and makeup.

Too office-like. It’s coming off as drab

I am always baffled why such a young, beautiful girl dresses so boring and drab. I use to love her style but the last year or so she has been putting me to sleep. Needless to say, not my favorite look on her.

Just looks stiff and mannish to me. Love the hair and makeup.

    BDOTW!!

I really love this. I love the boxiness of the jacket because it gives a more masculine feel and she pulls it off beautifully. It’s simple and cool. I would like to see an awesome gown on her soon, though.

Emma NEVER disappoints! Perfect for a photocall.

This look so big on her. Not carrying this well

  9. Rebecca Z April 9, 2014 at 17:48 #

She looks cute and it all fits well, but it doesn’t speak to me. Maybe it is the buttoned up blouse–it would be more inviting with a silk blouse that is open at the neck.

  10. dee April 9, 2014 at 17:49 #

I wish the blazer was fitted and shortened. It overwhelms her frame.

  11. Alina April 9, 2014 at 18:07 #

It should not work, but it does.

  12. Faye April 9, 2014 at 18:17 #

Way too boring, she can do better.

  13. Emilia April 9, 2014 at 18:27 #

    I really love this!

I don’t like this at all – very stiff and boring, as opposed to chic, cool and tailored. The blazer doesn’t fit nicely, the buttoned-up blouse….she looks like a little girl wearing her dad’s jacket and shirt. And the way she is standing straight like a soldier doesn’t help matters at all. Her hair is lovely, but also doesn’t help this look – only makes it look even more boring.

  15. Fiona April 9, 2014 at 19:17 #

The coat is simply too big and doesn’t work

  16. Dhppy April 9, 2014 at 19:58 #

That runway model looks alarmingly thin.

    • ok April 9, 2014 at 22:26 #

I gasped when I compared the two photos… I wish the model health and happiness

  17. Joy April 9, 2014 at 20:01 #

This trend she’s been stuck in is definitely not my favorite style. It’s just so boring and so 1980. And I get it, these looks have been beautifully tailored and ubber chic/classic styles are a great thing, but it’s all just SO BORING!!! We all want to see her in something fresh, feminine and fun.

  18. lisam April 9, 2014 at 20:41 #

The jacket is too long. It would’ve worked if she left it unbuttoned like the model.

  19. Marybeth April 9, 2014 at 20:52 #

I’m not crazy about this. As others have said, the jacket seems to overwhelm her with its length and stiffness.
OTOH, her styling is so cool and crisp that the outfit nearly succeeds. I certainly don’t hate it.

  20. Yeliz April 9, 2014 at 22:28 #

I don’t like the blazer, it’s overwhelming her. I’m very excited about the premiere tomorrow.

  21. Camille April 9, 2014 at 23:46 #

I’m not liking this. It’s spring and I don’t want to see ‘covered up and drab” I want to see bright colors, lighter fabrics, something eye catching. Even if this was October, I think the blazer is too large and just swallows her. Please somebody tell her it’s April!

  22. anjos April 10, 2014 at 00:12 #

Interesting choice and I don’t hate it on her. But the runway styling gives it more edge. Maybe if she posed in it differently, with open jacket, hands in pockets or something, it’d make it look more chic, and in the same time more effortless as well.

  23. Eri April 10, 2014 at 01:31 #

I want to like it but I dont.. The jacket looks too boxy and stiff, and overall she looks like coming out of the card army from Alice in Wonderland. Her pose is not helping either. I’m not too impressed with Emma from this promo tour so far. I miss her first Spider-Man tour where she looked gorgeous whatever she wears. Hope she will surprise us with some dramatic look soon.

This is a no for me.

I actually like this look. She looks cool and sophisticated. Apart from the heels this kind of fits the whole normcore trend too also.
