Li Bingbing In Zuhair Murad – Jacky Chen’s Charity Birthday Party

Li Bingbing In Zuhair Murad - Jacky Chen's Charity Birthday Party

Li Bingbing attended Jacky Chan’s charity birthday party on Monday (April 7) in Beijing, China.

The Chinese actress, who is known for her demure red carpet looks, tried something different on this occasion wearing a Zuhair Murad Pre-Fall 2014 teal beaded creation featuring long crochet sleeves and black shoulder pads.

Zuhair Murad designs consistently make an impact, and it doesn’t get any more impactful than this floor-length gown.

I love the mesh details, which emit an air of seductive confidence; again, something we don’t usually see from Bingbing.

Many of you weren’t too fond of Shakira’s Zuhair Murad ACM Awards gown, calling it tacky.

Would you put Bingbing’s gown in the same category?

I think she looks really statuesque

Better than Shakira’s but I’m still not crazy about it. I wish there were no sheer panels along the bodice and the skirt or that they all have been lined. That would make this look very BDOTW worthy. As it it I can only like it on the lookbook where the luminosity from the studio masks the tacky bodice sheer panels.

My thoughts exactly. I am not crazy about the gown either for those sheer panels.

I don’t see this working in real life. In the rather sterile environment of the look book picture it does, but it’s a tricky one to pull off.

It could work–the dress is interesting, but she looks totally intimidated by the dress. Not selling it to me like Shakira did.

This is not in the same league as Shakira’s dress. Li looks stunning. BDOTW worthy.

This is actually breathtaking. I mean how gorgeous is this??

    Not tacky at all.

Love it! Not tacky at all! Somehow her grace and elegance totally pulled it off. To me BDOTW worthy.

she looks great. her willowy figure and the sleek hair elevate the look

  9. Yeliz April 8, 2014 at 20:21 #

I don’t get any tacky vibes from this look. I think she looks sensational. BDOTW worthy in my eyes.

I love it on the model. I’m not quite as sold on Bing Bing.

For me this is fabulous! Finally this dress gets what it deserves. I disagree with some other comments, the sheer panels work beautifully for me. I think she looks simply gorgeous in this most difficult dress to wear. She’s showing us the polar opposite of tacky. BDOTW for me!

I love the fact that she is taking a risk. She looks fantastic.

    She makes it work.

There’s a typo mistake. It should be JACKIE CHAN, and not jacky chen/jacky chan.

wow! nice take! is it the same dress?

  16. Agnes April 13, 2014 at 18:50 #

I don’t get what was so wrong with Shaki’s dress. This one however is tacky, the other one had elegance.
