Shailene Woodley In Donna Karan Atelier – ‘Divergent’ Madrid Premiere

Shailene Woodley In Donna Karan Atelier - 'Divergent' Madrid Premiere

Shailene Woodley attended the ‘Divergent’ premiere held at Callao Cinema on Thursday (April 3) in Madrid, Spain.

Opting for a fiery hue in the Spanish capital, Shailene stunned once again, wearing a Donna Karan Atelier poppy-red gown designed with sheer chiffon godets on the skirt and sheer chiffon inserts on the side of the bodice.

The dramatic figure-skimming gown was styled with her favourite JLynn Jewelry pendant necklace and she also added a gold Lina Noel cuff to the look, with her hair and makeup remaining largely the same as it has throughout this promo tour.

Would you like to see her mix things up hair- and makeup-wise, or are you just grateful that her red carpet style is much improved and that’s enough for now?

Very nice dress on her. Showcases her toned upper body and I like the subtle pleating from the hips to the floor. Great colour on her too

    Wow. Stunning.
I think it’s safe to say now that I’m loving this promo run. It’s everything I was hoping for with Jennifer Lawrence for THG: Catching Fire. The gowns are perfect and Shailene rocks the short hairstyle so well.

    Seriously, who’s her stylist?

  4. dil April 5, 2014 at 02:50 #

    i love this simple look!

I get this feeling that she really only dresses up because she’s obligated to look decent, and I kinda admire her for that, it makes me like whatever she wears more.

Hmmm. If this were on ScarJo, I’d say “yes”, but she’s not selling this. It doesn’t seem like “her” somehow.

She’s not selling this to me, I need some more va va voom with this dress. I do love the color though and am extremely happy she and Ilaria have found each other

She looks great overall, but the gown does look a bit dated. But I love the colour on her.

  9. Anne Gallagher April 4, 2014 at 17:23 #

I like the dress, but it is a bit mature for her.

I hate the straps/neckline on this gown. But I would hate it on any gown as I feel it flatters almost no one. I do love the red but her hair and makeup are consistently boring.

Another day, another BDOTW worthy gown….She looks great. It wouldn’t be my winner for the week, but you could almost populate a whole contest with her looks. You have to admire her endurance. I like the dress–don’t find it dated, rather classic. It is a tad long waisted on her, but maybe it looks that way because of the empire style dresses she has been wearing. I admire her just for keeping going.

WHAT disaster of a mani is going on? I love her style and super subtle luxe looks but girl needs to at least get her nails cleaned up…

    Amazing dress!

  14. Cheri April 4, 2014 at 13:16 #

@anjos I agree. She neeeds to take it up a notch or two with hair/makeup. I also think this dress doesn’t fit her well. On the other hand she must like it like it is or she would change. I’m wondering if she is trying NOT to be compared to JL and gone just a little too far the other way. JL would rock this dress and it would fit her perfectly.

Love the red on her. She looks very elegant

  16. amy April 4, 2014 at 12:27 #

I’m not wowed by this but she does look good. and the hair doesn’t bother me at all.

  17. Sarah April 4, 2014 at 11:52 #

I don’t particulary like her hair with this look but i didn’t mind with the others.

What a throwback to She’s All That. But I wouldn’t call it dated. Instead, the simplicity suits her much better than the Zuhair Murad (which I loved, just not on her).

“What a throwback to She’s All That.”

      Nailed it.

  19. Christine April 4, 2014 at 11:38 #

This is a little dated. Not feeling it

  20. anjos April 4, 2014 at 11:34 #

Stylists who keep dressing these young actresses in this kind of dresses need to get fired.

  21. Denise April 4, 2014 at 10:38 #

Love the colour, but I think it should fit better. I wish she chooses something short and interesting next time.

  22. Charlotte April 4, 2014 at 10:28 #

I like the dress even if the straps and the neckline are a little bit dated.
Her styling is a little bit boring, could have been better. Still, she looks good.

She’s stunning and staying true to herself by going the simple route in terms of hair/make-up/accessories. Love this dress on her!
