Dita Von Teese In Maria Lucia Hohan – Museum Of Contemporary Art (MOCA) 35th Anniversary Gala

Dita Von Teese In Maria Lucia Hohan - Museum Of Contemporary Art (MOCA) 35th Anniversary Gala

Burlesque star Dita Von Teese attended MOCA’s 35th anniversary celebration on Saturday (March 29) in Los Angeles, California.

Dressed in an all-too-familiar Maria Lucia Hohan frock, we can at least be excited that it’s in a colour other than black.

With sheer illusion panels ensuring everything was kept firmly in place, she styled the look with an Alexander McQueen knuckle clutch, lilac-stone earrings to match her dress, and her signature red lip and retro waves.

A bit too much for my taste. She’s Dita but still…

    Too much skin on display.

      +1 looks really tacky

I love this if you look at it straight on from the front or straight on from the back. The color, the silhouette, the plunge. BUT, then you see the sides. And it’s WAY too much skin. It’s an almost, but not quite for me.

she wore that same dress in pale pink at another event. boring. Dita can do better

  5. justme March 31, 2014 at 14:10 #

How many times is she going to wear this dress ? Switch it up, Dita.

Too much showing and I don’t think this dress is flattering.

She is hot but come on, she is way better than this! And where are those illusion panels? Cause all I see is skin!

  8. Fiona - Perth March 31, 2014 at 15:35 #

No no Dita, sorry but this is not a good dress. The colour is amazing on her but the cut of the dress and the illusion panels are very unflattering and way too revealing. I am really tired of this designer’s reliance on this style, make it stop!

The fact is that Maria Lucia Hohan makes other types of dresses too. So it is a little bit frustating that celebs keep wearing ONLY this dress.

It’s just simply tacky. Maria Lucia Johan dresses are always have with the same illusion panels formula. At times it works but most of the time I just find it tacky

this looks like the red versace dress? that januaryjones use at the golden globes? a couple years ago? am i right?

  11. Joy March 31, 2014 at 17:00 #

I gotta agree with the consensus…this is WAY too much skin, even for Dita. Dita likes to toy with sexy yet elegant but this comes off as just plain tacky. I also agree with the comment, that she’s WAY better than this.

Love the colour on her but the top is plain cheap and I’m tired of this dress.

  13. CreoleLady March 31, 2014 at 19:14 #

Lol, she’s a burlesque star after all. Love the color but agree, a bit too much “voom” for the occasion.

  14. towanda March 31, 2014 at 19:36 #

it reminds me January Jones’s versace dress.

Gorgeous but tired of these type of dresses

  16. Anne Gallagher April 1, 2014 at 03:23 #

Doesn’t leave much the imagination does she? She looks like a basket of sexy Easter eggs.

Does Maria design any different type of dress. Do love the colour though.
