Jennifer Connelly In Louis Vuitton – ‘Noah’ New York Premiere

Jennifer Connelly In Louis Vuitton - 'Noah' New York Premiere

Jennifer Connelly attended the ‘Noah’ New York premiere held at the Ziegfeld Theatre on Wednesday (March 26) in New York City.

Like Charlotte Gainsbourg, the former Balenciaga muse showed her love for Nicolas Ghesquière’s first collection for Louis Vuitton, donning his first custom-made look which is a variation on Look 48.

The long-sleeved dress composed of varnished leather and tweed was styled with burgundy leather LV boots – which I am trying to prevent from throwing me off my love for this look – a single gold earring and a black leather LV ‘Epi’ electric Petite-Malle clutch.

Are you loving this from head to toe or from the ankles up?

I love the dress, much better that way than on the runway.
But like you, I don’t think the shoes are working here. Still, it’s a interesting choice and they don’t prevent me from liking this look.
Hair and make up are perfect, as usual.

Compared to what she wore to the other premieres she looks a little under dressed. I love the outfit as it is, shoes and all, it is edgy and it suit her, but not for a premiere.

I love everything about this look, from head to toe. Perfection. Some may say it’s not event worthy, but for me it’s AMAZING. BDOTW contender.

TOTALLY AGREE. This is one of the best looks of the week for me. If Nicolas Ghesquiere is looking for a brand ambassador for his Louis Vuitton, he needs to look no further than Jennifer. So cool, so effortless, so easy and so chic. Awesome.

I don’t have a problem with the boots, I think they work greatly with the dress. I love this edgy and amazing look.

  7. Alina March 27, 2014 at 11:20 #

She can wear anything – supremely elegant couture gown, chic little dress, edgy leather dress.
I love this from h2t and I think it was the perfect choice for a NYC premiere.

    She looks AMAZING!

I think she lost it.. and so did Emma.. she cold whar it somewhere else, not here..

not liking the boots either… but she pulls it off, so i guess it’s a pass here… she looks great nonetheless…

I actually prefer the version of the dress as presented on the runway, but what Jennifer wore was the right choice for her. I love the boots. They’re unexpected. It’s quite cold again in NYC, so I will give a pass on the very fall feel of this dress

    This is just OK.

    I like it!

  17. Marcel March 27, 2014 at 14:30 #

I dont like anything about this look. Boots are hideous. Not even the make up is correct. Hair styling is nice though.

    • Nat39 March 27, 2014 at 18:39 #

AMEN. Hair is the only good thing here. The dress is just as awful as the booties – that chunk of leather uptop is horrendous (the runway sleeveless version is a bit more forgiving and less motocyclist chic), her makeup is lackluster. Not a good look at all.

  18. kane March 27, 2014 at 14:40 #

I’m virtually never a fan of long sleeves, so I will go with the runway version. But she looks so badass, I love it.

  19. amy March 27, 2014 at 14:50 #

    the runway version is better

  20. justine March 27, 2014 at 17:33 #

To me, this doesn’t seem right for the type of movie it is. I understand not wanting a gown for every promo event, but this screams biker chick to me. It’s the wrong occasion and a disappointment since she started out on such a high note.

  21. ValS March 27, 2014 at 18:32 #

I hate it from the toes up

  22. Dhppy March 27, 2014 at 18:55 #

Hate it. Hate it in the runway. Hate it on Connelly. Hate everything I’m seeing here. But then, I never understood Ghesquiere’s appeal.
