Carice van Houten In Christian Dior - ‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 4 New York Premiere

Carice van Houten joined Emilia Clarke and Lena Headey for the ‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 4 New York premiere held at Avery Fisher Hall, Lincoln Center on Tuesday (March 18) in New York City.

The actress continued her love affair with all things Dior, donning a stunning blue-embroidered metallic-silver strapless frock from the Spring 2014 collection.

I love the addition of the blue-metal studded belt and the light-blue metallic Dior pumps, which make me forgive the lilac Dior shoulder bag which pedestrianizes her bold futuristic look somewhat. I wish she’s carried it as a clutch.

I know this look well . I own the straight metalic skirt and have seen many girls try this on in the store. All I can say is that she ruined this look on so many levels: the belt does not work with the emblem badge-just too much going on and does not work with the traditional feel -maybe had she taken the emblem off (which you can do)-the shoes are very wrong (I know because I tried them with the skirt and everyone said NO!! !) the colour is too greeny blue to work with the skirt ; the bag is wrong in both colour and feel: the dress is too long.

    Good dress gone bad.

The styling constitutes a crime. Nice dress though.

    Awful.

The dress is beautiful . But everything went wrong there. A shoulder bag ? Really ? Such a pitty.

I like the belt but not the shoes. i wish they removed the badge thing

She looks beautiful. I agree that a clutch would have looked better though.

    Bad styling

I think this looks lovely on her. Yes, a clutch would be better. Hair and makeup are gorgeous, though.

I am on record for stating my dislike for this collection. That said, she looks ok. I think the belt is a bit much. I agree that a shoulder bag with a strapless dress is not a good choice.

This is just a no for me. Jennifer Lopez wore this in her Glamour UK photo shoot from last month and she was able to ooze sex appeal, obviously, our of such a womanly dress. This needed sexier styling in order to make it really work on the carpet.

I’m surprisingly open to the string of stars wearing chain link bags on the red carpet. It’s a very different trend from the typical bedazzled clutch and I’m open to seeing where it goes.
