Charlotte Gainsbourg In Louis Vuitton – ‘Nymphomaniac: Volume I’ New York Screening

Charlotte Gainsbourg In Louis Vuitton - ‘Nymphomaniac Volume I’ New York Screening

Charlotte Gainsbourg joined Emmy Rossum and Stacy Martin for the ‘Nymphomaniac: Volume I’ New York screening at the Museum of Modern Art on Thursday (March 13) in New York City.

Once a fiercely loyal Balenciaga girl, it would appear her allegiance is to all things created by Nicolas Ghesquière.

The French actress wore an exact runway look head to toe from the Louis Vuitton Fall 2014 collection which included a white frill-collar blouse, yellow-and-black V-neck knit vest, vinyl black trousers and tan patent-leather ankle boots.

Few could pull this off, but she’s totally selling this look to me.

Charlotte is always chic with zero effort no matter what she wears, but would you’ve liked to have seen her break up the look and make it her own rather than rip the runway?

    I shouldn’t like this, but I do!

The shiny vinyl trousers and tan boots are killing me. Horrendous. And more effort in hair/ makeup wouldn’t have hurt.

+2 Yes. Somehow the whole thing is coming off as a bit schlumpy, and the shiny trousers are unforgiving in that respect. Maybe it’s just the photo angle?

I would’ve thought this look perfect if the shoes weren’t also patent. It’s too much shine.

    No not liking this

I think this is effortlessly cool. A appreciate her loyalty to Nicolas Ghesquiere and his designs, no matter the fashion house

I agree. She is one of the few who could make this outfit work. I love it for her! French girl in french design makes perfect match here!

It’s her second look from the collection. She was already wearing a look from the collection when she attended the show in paris.
I love Charlotte in Nicolas’s designs but i dont like her posture. She should work a bit more on her poses.

I hope J.Conelly will wear one of the cut-out dress from that collection. She is always perfect in Nicolas’s designs.

I love this outfit even the shoes. She probably needs to work on her posture for the red carpet but you know she’s an actress so maybe I shouldn’t be too nit picky about it. It looks great on the model too.

This is awful head to toe, I have to agree. Not flattering, not well combined, and I dislike the 80s-reminiscent shirt and vest pretty intensely.
