Jennifer Connelly In Givenchy Couture – ‘Noah’ Mexico City Premiere

Jennifer Connelly In Givenchy Fall 2009 Couture - 'Noah' Mexico City Premiere

Jennifer Connelly attended the premiere of Paramount Pictures’ ‘Noah’ held at Pepsi Center on Monday (March 10) in Mexico City, Mexico.

I’m totally floored by her Givenchy Fall 2009 Couture gown. It’s head-and-shoulders above most of the gowns we saw on the red carpet at the Oscars last week.

Her blush-pink satin-jacquard V-neck gown embellished with fuchsia-pink stones is a work of art. I love that Givenchy are giving celebs access to the archives, as this beauty deserved a red carpet moment.

Wavy tresses and flawless makeup perfect this BDOTY-worthy look.

She looks gorgeous ! This look is perfect from head to toe and she looks so much better than the model.

    • jackie oh March 11, 2014 at 19:17 #

+1 on that. My first thought was if it is the same dress the model is wearing.

  3. Iva March 11, 2014 at 12:32 #

    Wow! Just wow!

  4. Denise March 11, 2014 at 12:38 #

This is truly a work of art. Love the material and the structure. Plus, hair and makeup are perfect.

  5. CreoleLady March 11, 2014 at 12:43 #

I’m not quite so enamored. Reminds me of a night gown for a My Little Pony aficionado. I like it on her better than the model; the silhouette is just stunning. But the three appliqu├ęs at the pelvis — and little-girl pink at that — just don’t work for me.

  6. Dorothy March 11, 2014 at 12:44 #

This is the kind of look I expected from the Oscars. It’s that great.

  7. maria March 11, 2014 at 12:48 #

    I am floored. PERFECTION.

  8. Ariadne March 11, 2014 at 13:08 #

    Definitely a BDOTY-worthy look.

Omg, so amazing! I had loved that Givenchy collection a lot, and Jennifer Connelly has always been a favourite of mine, so yes, perfect combo and BDOTY-worthy

  13. the ogre March 11, 2014 at 13:45 #

This is absolutely breathtaking and stunning and I’m so glad that the cut-outs aren’t there on Jennifer. Looks way better than on the runway. She gives me goosebumps with that hair and make up. BDOTW if another look doesn’t top it and this is going to be hard to put down.

  14. Nat March 11, 2014 at 13:45 #

The makeup is a bit hashly applied, but other than that this is perfection.

I find myself wishing that Queen Cate wore this to the Oscars…

p.s. FC, I don’t know if it’s only me, but I’m having trouble with finding the website via Google. If I type “Red Carpet Fashion Awards” in the search box, the site does no longer come up…

    • Catherine Kallon March 11, 2014 at 17:32 #

Yes, sadly there is an issue and we are trying to figure out why I no longer appear in Google

      • Nat March 11, 2014 at 18:21 #

Oh ok. Thanks for the reply!
Hope you fix it soon. Don’t worry, in the meantime we will find our way to the blog, in one way or the other! ;-)

    • Denise March 12, 2014 at 07:03 #

I’m so glad you brought that up because I have the same problem…

  15. DM March 11, 2014 at 13:46 #

A case of the dress coming to life OFF the runway. Jennifer brings it grace, beauty and elegance. And while I am not so fond of the bright pink designs on the waist/hip, overall the look is a great and memorable one. Jennifer is one of my favorites, and she shines here.
On a side note, a very important one, THANK YOU FC and team for a truly wonderful Oscar coverage!

  16. e March 11, 2014 at 14:30 #

SO MUCH LOVE FOR THIS DRESS!

  17. Marcel March 11, 2014 at 14:54 #

I am not wowed, at all. It is a beautiful dress , but nothing special.

  18. Carrie March 11, 2014 at 15:04 #

    WOW!!!!! Love.

  19. pinksugar March 11, 2014 at 15:10 #

This is perfection. Movie star glamour at it’s best.

  20. Tracy March 11, 2014 at 15:20 #

I love how she wore no jewellery and minimal makeup which let the dress just positively shine. BDOTW.

  21. Prudence March 11, 2014 at 15:24 #

omfgggg I have waited years for someone to wear this!!!! Omggg it finally happened and its amazing!!!!!!!! THIS IS WAT I WANTED TO SEE AT THE OSCARS!!!

  22. Naomi March 11, 2014 at 16:13 #

    Amazing! Perfection all around.

  23. Camille March 11, 2014 at 16:31 #

Dress is beautiful and seems perfect for Mexico, so colorful and festive. I’m not that blown away by the makeup and hair. Her makeup and hair seem like just an everyday look and wish she’d worn an earring, something subtle maybe, but just a stud maybe.

    • dee March 11, 2014 at 18:18 #

I completely agree and that is what is keeping me from loving this look. Such a shame as the dress is gorgeous and she looks amazing in it. the hair and makeup are a huge let down.

    • Nat39 March 11, 2014 at 18:36 #

Her pedestrian hair and makeup are such a let down. It’s the 1st thing that popped at me. Too bad, it will be a major flaw for me when it comes to choosing BDOTY.
But this is a very strong look otherwise. Undoubtedly, BDOTW-worthy and the one to beat.

      • sara March 12, 2014 at 17:24 #

I completely agree, the gown is stunning. perfect silhouette on Jen. But the makeup and lazy hair is a let down.

  24. dedel March 11, 2014 at 16:31 #

This dress is a masterpiece ! I love the color and all the details. Too bad we didn’t see that kind of dresse at the Oscars.

  25. jeremyrain March 11, 2014 at 16:39 #

I have been waiting for almost 5 years for someone wearing this gorgeous gown. And it couldn’t be more amazing when the one who did the justice for it is no other than my crush Jennifer Connelly. Say what you want about her, but she’s as fashion influential as Cate Blanchett.

  26. Joy March 11, 2014 at 17:03 #

I love that it’s from 2009. Not quite vintage, but really cool to see something brought back. Very unusual dress, not sure yet if I love it, but she looks amazing in it. I will totally agree this is way more interesting than most of the gowns on Oscar night. It seems the celebs are playing it safer and safer each year. I guess the Oscars are meant to be a classy event. And I get that. I love how Jennifer Connelly is not afraid of taking risks. I’m not sure how I feel about all the chunky jewels? But she looks beautiful for sure.

  27. fatima March 11, 2014 at 17:20 #

She has never taken my breath away before! I usually do not like what she wears, ever, despite being so ravishingly beautiful. But this is so glamorous, elegant, colorful, and figure flattering.

  28. Alina March 11, 2014 at 17:22 #

WOW – this is why I love this woman’s style. BDOTY worthy without a doubt.

  29. Nat39 March 11, 2014 at 18:00 #

I’m blown away. Beautiful, unexpected. The silhouette is amazing on Jennifer. My complaint is her pedestrian hair/makeup, this gown deserved more. But this is, hands down, BDOTW and potentially BDOTY worthy.

  30. Julie A March 11, 2014 at 20:37 #

Why couldn’t someone have worn this to the Oscars?!?? BDOTY so far!

  31. Alex March 11, 2014 at 20:47 #

    Epic! Love, love, love!

  32. mare March 11, 2014 at 20:55 #

    WOW

  33. Yeliz March 11, 2014 at 22:03 #

The gown certainly looks sensational on her and I much prefer her version. But I just can’t get on board with the hair and makeup. It seems like she didn’t put much effort in it. This look won’t be a strong BDOTY contender for me, but it surely is a BDOTW contender.

  34. Amber March 11, 2014 at 22:49 #

She looks absolutely stunning! I love the pop of pink in the embellishments, and the shape is divine!

  35. Amy March 11, 2014 at 23:43 #

the dress is beautiful, i love it

  36. Jai March 12, 2014 at 00:22 #

Yes, i completely agree, much more interesting than most of the drab Oscar offerings. This was a gown that deserved a red-carpet moment tho!

  37. Bec March 12, 2014 at 00:45 #

Oh my lord…I actually got goosebumps from this…she is a goddess and an early contender for my BDOTY!

Oscars who? I have forgotten every dress from last week now! Lol

  38. Pascale March 12, 2014 at 01:33 #

Man do I love her style ! I said it before, but I just missed her so on the red carpet.

I know it’s just march, but I do hope this look finds a place in the BDOTY list.

  39. Valissa March 12, 2014 at 07:27 #

It is SO good to have Jennifer Connelly back on the red carpet! She is just so effortlessly chic, glam and sophisticated!

This is amazing! Sadly it is completely wasted at a movie premier, it deserved to be at a major award show, or Cannes or the MET Gala…any event that would allow more people to appreciate it!

  40. kane March 12, 2014 at 08:20 #

I can’t even say I like the dress with the applications very much in the close ups, but holy cow!

  41. Rebecca March 12, 2014 at 15:26 #

    Jaw dropping gorgeous!

  44. Cindy March 13, 2014 at 00:13 #

My first thought, Wow! Why isn’t this at the Oscars??!!!
    BDOTY
