Kristen Bell In Naeem Khan – ‘Veronica Mars’ SXSW Film Festival Premiere

Kristen Bell In Naeem Khan - ‘Veronica Mars’ SXSW Film Festival Premiere

Kristen Bell joined co-star Krysten Ritter for the premiere of ‘Veronica Mars’ during the 2014 SXSW Music, Film + Interactive Festival at the Paramount Theatre on Saturday (March 8) in Austin, Texas.

Also going down the colourful beaded route, the actress wore a Naeem Khan Spring 2014 Garden of Paradise beaded cropped T-shirt with a black taffeta ruffled skirt, which I loved on the runway but don’t find myself loving on Kristen.

I’m not sure if it’s the proportions, or just the feeling that this type of look doesn’t suit her style, but I’m not feeling it at all.

Black Jimmy Choos, a complementary lip colour and a bun completed her look.

    Exactly what I was thinking!

From the neck down it’s awful. The complementary lip colour and the makeup are great though.

Seems maybe a tad fussy on her? Also, pretty sure that orange is not a great shade for her. Washes her out a bit.

    no, No, NO!

Weighing her down far too much. Not her style at all, I agree!

The top is cropped more than the top on the model, using the print as reference, you can see that it is 5cm shorter. I think it would have been better as it is on the model. Altough stil not great on her.

      Exactly!
It would have looked MUCH better if she had worn the model’s version, which has nicer proportions.

      I totally agree.

    One word. Matronly.

Longer top and softer hair would have done a lot in my opinion to make this work for her.

    Unflattering

For me, I think the proportions are off. I think this look was meant for someone taller or with a longer torso

Well, Kristen Bell is very petit – only 155 cm. , so of course she doesn’t look like the model on the runway at all. I find this very cute for her. I don’t see any proportion difficulties.

I love it on the model, it doesn’t work on Kristen.

The proportions are off. The top is shorter than on the model which is just throwing this all off. The top is the best part so why would you shorten it?

  14. Peony March 11, 2014 at 05:01 #

This is super unflattering. Is the skirt pulled up too high? The top looks a lot shorter than the runway version too.

She is too short waisted to wear this. This outfit really can’t be altered to work, because the style just doesn’t flatter her body. Looks like they made an attempt to make it work, but sadly it just doesn’t.
