Pink In Elie Saab Couture – Oscars 2014 Performance

Pink In Elie Saab Couture - Oscars 2014 Performance

Pink gave a brilliant performance of ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’ in tribute to Judy Garland at the 2014 Oscars on Sunday (March 2).

Not only was her performance breath-taking, but so was her Elie Saab Fall 2013 Couture gown.

Even though I had bookmarked this merlot 3/4 sleeve fully embellished ball-gown with deep v-neck for Jessica Chastain; Pink never looked better.

I was totally in awe as she was easily one of my favourites on the night.

I still have goosebumps.

Did she blow you away too?

I just watched her performance on you tube and even if poore quality sound & picture I am amazed at her both performance and her look.Love her,and even if she was not your Elie Saab 1st choice she looked abs stunning from H2T.Maybe even my best dressed of the night

I love Pink, and I love this Elie Saab gown…just not together. A good effort, but I think she is a little short waisted for this dress.

  3. glenn March 3, 2014 at 23:51 #

I love the dress but not on her, mmmmmmmm

  4. oksana March 3, 2014 at 22:29 #

    Love and love

  5. k6wing March 3, 2014 at 22:19 #

Beautiful dress but doesn’t suit her.

  6. amy March 3, 2014 at 21:12 #

I’m not wowed but she does look good

I would love the gown if the neckline weren’t so plunging–plus I don’t think the silhouette flatters Pink. The deep v and wide skirt are a bit stumpifying.

    BDOTY worthy!

  9. Lisa March 3, 2014 at 16:04 #

I agree that the gown doesn’t suit Pink, but it suited her performance which completely blew me away! He talent is amazing and I respect that she dressed properly for her part.

  10. Moxie March 3, 2014 at 14:22 #

Loved the nod to the ruby slippers. And her performance was show stopping.

  11. Jess March 3, 2014 at 13:03 #

This is easily in my top 5 of the night. She is gorgeous. And the dress is to die for. When she walked on stage she blew me away. Definitely a contender for BDOTY!

  12. AnderBoBo March 3, 2014 at 12:29 #

Love this, not only does she look stunning but I think a very beautiful nod to the famed ruby slippers.

I came back to look at Pink again and read your comment. Omg, you’re right, the ruby slippers. This look was even more perfect for the occasion than I realized at first glance.

  13. Joy March 3, 2014 at 11:22 #

This gave me goosebumps, it was definitely one of my favorites of the night. The sparkle of this dress was just stunning. Love Love Love!!! For some reason I really loved a lot of red this year.

  14. CreoleLady March 3, 2014 at 10:33 #

Wow. Unexpected and daring. Never thought I’d say daring when speaking of a Saab gown but this is a risk nonetheless, totally counter to type. Absolutely perfect for the occasion. She looks great.

I would’ve never imagined Pink in this gown. At first I was very surprised, but then I’ve warmed up to it, since she looked stunning in it while performing. I’ve loved how all the embellishments came to display while on stage. Gorgeous.

    Wow, Pink’s growing up!

  17. Noemi March 3, 2014 at 09:15 #

One of the best dressed of the night, the color of the dress is gorgeous.

  18. Amber March 3, 2014 at 07:16 #

She looked absolutely divine in this dress! BDOTY for sure!

  19. Jess2 March 3, 2014 at 06:42 #

One of my best dressed of the night, the year even. She was breathtaking and I was most certainly so blown away. I still have chills as well, she has never looked better.

  20. TL March 3, 2014 at 06:30 #

The dress itself is easily BDOTY, it is beautiful and breath taking. BUT it doesn’t suit Pink.

  21. Nat39 March 3, 2014 at 06:21 #

My instant reaction – it’s not her gown, but considering the song she is performing, I think it’s right in tune. Sweet, grand and beautiful performance look.

  22. Lila March 3, 2014 at 06:20 #

I thought this dress was gorgeous on stage and perfect for the performance. I don’t think it would have had the same impact on the red carpet. It’s just too far from Pink’s style. Still, it was exquisite on stage.

  23. Alicat March 3, 2014 at 06:19 #

    Beautiful. Pink looks stunning.

So many actresses came out with brighter, blonder hair reminiscent of this classic Pink cut, it’s nice to see Pink actually be there and own it. It’s not for everyone.

  25. Valissa March 3, 2014 at 06:12 #

No for me. It doesn’t suit her at all!

  26. Alina March 3, 2014 at 06:09 #

    Her best look ever.

  27. celia March 3, 2014 at 06:08 #

I love the gown but not on Pink – didn’t work for me at all. Your pic of Jessica Chastain would be perfect, I just don’t think Pink is elegant enough to pull it off at all.

    • Dean March 3, 2014 at 12:25 #

ITA I loved this gown on the runway, but not so much on Pink.

    • bas March 3, 2014 at 17:59 #

Totally agree. She is too short, and too chunky for that beutiful dress. I hope it gets a re-run!

  28. roxana March 3, 2014 at 06:02 #

    AMAZING!!!

  29. Rotwinsky March 3, 2014 at 06:02 #

    BDOTY
On a side note, FC please post Glenn Close at the Oscars. Thanks!

  30. Christine March 3, 2014 at 06:00 #

I got the chills. Talk about BDOTY worthy.

    • Anj March 3, 2014 at 18:08 #

Agreed. She was my favorite at the actual Oscar’s event. The after-parties are a whole other (and more exciting) playing field.
