Karolina Kurkova In Elie Saab – Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar Party

Karolina Kurkova In Elie Saab - Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar Party

Karolina Kurkova was also at the Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscars Party on Sunday (March 2).

This former Victoria’s Secret Angel was a vision in white in an Eli Saab Spring 2014 lace gown.

I have to say I like the longer, more formal version of this runway dress and pairing it with white pumps and a Charlotte Olympia clutch were also great calls.

Her makeup is simple making the only pop of colour, her stunning red lips. I’m obsessed.

Which dress do you like better?

    I like both versions.

The short one is better. I’m so tired of sheer skirts like that.

Ugly. Looks like old fashioned underwear.

The visible bra aside, much prefer the long version – it’s sexy, seductive, alluring – much more inspired than ‘little girl/birthday party’ skirt on the runway.

      I agree.

The runway version is better. Only a model could wear Karolina’s version.

I am so over this look. Please make it go away.

The visible bra doesn’t bother me that much actually, its lines fit the architectural construction of the top quite well. However I find the (under)skirt rather short unbalancing the whole look and I don’t care for the hemline. I think it would have worked better if it had been sheer to the bottom. Otherwise, I really like the red lip and the hair goes well with it too. It doesn’t quite work for me on the whole but I certainly prefer it to the runway version.

This is basically the textbook of why I loathe sheer dresses.

Quick check the hotel room to see if it is missing its lace curtains! I like the runway look better. The full length adds nothing.
