Diane Kruger In Valentino Couture – Vanity Fair Oscar Party 2014

Diane Kruger In Valentino Couture - Vanity Fair Oscar Party 2014

Diane Kruger attended the 2014 Vanity Fair Oscar party on Sunday (March 2) in West Hollywood, California.

The actress channelled dark decadence wearing a Valentino Spring 2014 cape dress featuring 3/4 length sleeves.

Lovingly layered in a texturally intriguing lace, she styled her look with a braided updo, which added a hint of charm to her look, a beaded clutch and matching pumps for a touch of bedazzlement.

For me she was flawless and easily one of the best of the night. Do you agree?

Love it, wish the inner skirt had been slightly longer though.
This outfit’s giving me Dolce & Gabbana vibes

mm agree w/ Aparajita on the Dolce & Gabbana vibes. Gotta say I love it regardless tho, her hair and overall styling is flawless.

When it comes to important events and red carpets Diane Kruger is always among the best dressed and effortlessly classy.

I’m trying desperately to love this but i just cant. It looks like it would just fly off with in a mild breeze.

I’m not thrilled about the dress but she does look stunning.

    • Yeliz March 3, 2014 at 10:51 #

      I agree.

No, really. This looks like some bits of fabric glued together to cover her body not like a dress.

      Exactly. Not a good look

      IA.
Unlike some, I’m a member of the pro-sheer brigade but this doesn’t even look like a proper dress.

I don’t like this either. I think it’s also lacking any major accessories that would’ve improved this look. It’s basically a doily.

One of the most beautiful dresses I have ever seen and one of the best Diane has ever worn

  7. Nat39 March 3, 2014 at 09:35 #

I think it looks bad, to be honest, she looks like an insect.

No – this is a mess. Just TOO much sheer. I’m really fed up of bare legs on the red carpet. Can someone put that trend to bed please?

  9. Filipa March 3, 2014 at 11:20 #

I can’t love this dress. It seems like the lace was thrown over her without proper cutting or sewing. She ends up looking like balck cotton candy

  10. TL March 3, 2014 at 11:53 #

It looks much better on runway. On Diane, something is missing, don’t like it at all.

  11. lou March 3, 2014 at 12:36 #

This look is a lace mess!

  12. Faellie March 3, 2014 at 13:01 #

The top is too fussy, the skirt lining is too short, and the long lace skirt hangs about as messily as it could.

I’m loving a lot of the after-party looks more than the main event looks (much more variety, much more charm), but sorry, not this one.

  13. CTgirl March 3, 2014 at 14:03 #

OMG, this is so laughably horrible! She looks like someone draped her in cheap lace polyester curtains dyed black.

  14. from-chitown March 3, 2014 at 14:17 #

I gasped when I looked at her face – her hair and make up are perfection. Not too keen on the dress, but she pulls it off in a way only she can. I like it.

  15. Anne Gallagher March 3, 2014 at 15:30 #

The fussiness of the dress overwhelms her. This just doesn’t work for me.

  16. Fanny March 3, 2014 at 15:39 #

    I don’t get it.

  17. Alina March 3, 2014 at 15:55 #

I feel like I shouldn’t like it, but I love it.

  18. zoe March 3, 2014 at 18:56 #

absolute trainwreck compared to the other ladies, so many well dressed last night but this is look is not among it.

  19. EmmaWoodhouse March 3, 2014 at 19:37 #

This is terrible in my book, even though Diane is lovely. I hate the sheer trend, and this just looks messy. I like the clutch but the shoes are just black pumps, so they don’t do much.

  20. amy March 3, 2014 at 20:55 #

this is a hot mess and god knows I love Diane but the dress looks bad on the runway and even worse on the red carpet

  21. the ogre March 3, 2014 at 21:08 #

Her hair and make up are gorgeous but I can’t get on board with the dress at all. Just plain weird!

  22. k6wing March 3, 2014 at 22:18 #

Strangely, I like it on Diane.

  23. Moxie March 3, 2014 at 22:43 #

Looks like a craft project. I don’t understand the love for this look, it is awful.

  24. Ana March 5, 2014 at 05:10 #

She always makes interesting choices and without effort pulls it off great anytime. Love this goth look!

  25. Cohen March 5, 2014 at 17:48 #

the dress completely wears her out..i applaud diane for pulling off fashion statement dresses time after time but i dunno..this?as much as i love the dramatic back, ive seen her in better, more polished numbers

  26. gabis March 7, 2014 at 02:10 #

I love her hair and makeup and let’s just leave it to that.

  27. Bailey December 16, 2014 at 16:54 #

She makes this work, even if I absolutely hate that hairstyle..
