ESSENCE Black Women In Hollywood Luncheon Menswear Roundup

ESSENCE Black Women In Hollywood Luncheon Menswear Roundup

There were a few guys who took to the red carpet for the 7th Annual ESSENCE Black Women In Hollywood luncheon at Beverly Hills Hotel on Thursday (February 27) in Beverly Hills, California.

David Oyelowo: The British actor, who wore Ted Baker London for his last red carpet appearance, donned the British brand again. When I asked why, he said “Off the rack just works. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it.” I then enquired about his black floral brooch. He told me he was wearing it in support of ‘My Brother’s Keeper’, an initiative which helps disenfranchised black and Hispanic youths which was brought into effect by President Obama that day.

Common: The rapper was super cool, as you would imagine. He wore a Paul Smith blue suit with a white shirt and grey tie.

Michael Ealy: The actor pretended not to know what all the fuss was about when women were swooning over him at the event. I would’ve perhaps swooned myself had he opted for a suit with a better fit, like David and Common.
