Ellie Goulding In Vivienne Westwood – Brit Awards 2014

Ellie Goulding In Vivienne Westwood - Brit Awards 2014

Ellie Goulding joined Jessie J on the red carpet at the O2 Arena in London this evening (February 19) for the Brit Awards 2014.

While the singer was much improved from her showing at the Elle Style Awards, I have to say I’m not quite buying this frothy Vivienne Westwood look on Ellie.

Ellie strikes me as a girl with a bit of an edge, so seeing her in this pretty pink taffeta/tulle floral embroidered frou frou, princess la-la gown is rather odd to me.

Katy Perry is perhaps the only one who can go from edgy to princess-like without skipping a beat.

On the plus side I’m loving the hair and makeup.

Don’t like the gown at all, it looks very bridal to me.

I think she got lost on her way to audition for Peter Pan as Tinkerbell!

How about this hair and makeup with the black jumpsuit? I like it better than this awful dress.

Too fairytale-esque for pop awards like BRIT. I don’t think the hairstyle suits the gown at all.

I think this is a fresh look for Ellie. I appreciate the fact she tried a new style for her. Why not embrace a more feminine Vivienne Westwood gown?! Bravo!
Lets not mention the shoes though…..

This dress is just not for her. The hairstyle and makeups are bad, don’t like it.

this is like bad 80s bridesmaid dress (minus the puffy shoulders)

Omg no! She looks like a quinceanera. AT least she did something different with her hair.

The dress surely is a no, but I think she looks cute here.

I don’t mind the frothy style of the gown, but it is just so badly fitted.
