Rita Ora In Gucci – The Weinstein Company’s Post-BAFTA Party

Rita Ora In Gucci - The Weinstein Company's Post-BAFTA Party

Rita Ora attended The Weinstein Co. post-BAFTA party held at the Rosewood London on Sunday (February 16) in London.

The singer donned a Gucci Spring 2014 black chiffon halter gown with a plunging neckline enriched with pink-hued embroideries.

I’m not a fan of this look on Rita. She doesn’t quite have the height to pull off this dress; the lip, as on most occasions, doesn’t work; and she over-accessorized the look.

You may remember that Rosie Huntington-Whiteley wore this to the LACMA Art + Film Gala last year.

The majority weren’t too crazy about it on the statuesque model, so I’m guessing that this look gets a resounding thumbs down on Rita.

I really dislike this Gucci collection. Try again Frida.

I think the problem lies with the dress itself, it’s an strictly only-works-on-the-catwalk kind of dress and therefore looks hideous when someone wears it on a red carpet

Just when I was starting to appreciate her style, she goes and wears this…

      You’re so right.

However, I must say that I like the dress better on Rita compared to Rosie.

+1 The dress somewhat suits her better.

I like it, too. I like the watch and the laid back vibe. I can imagine Miranda Kerr wearing this on the red carpet and playing up the slinky factor, which is the more obvious route. I appreciate how Rita looks so relaxed.

    Rosie wore it best.

i actually saw rita ora in this dress at koko last night for Prince’s gig and i also got a look at the back and it looked stunning in real life and was hoping to see it covered on this website… but in that photo, it really dosen’t look good! perhaps i was on such a high from seeing prince that everything i saw looked “stunning”! here, it just looks too big for her and too busy

I bet it did look really nice in real life.

I have often attended events and then looked at pictures on Getty and the light doesn’t hit the dress right or something just lessens the effect.

But you might be right, the high of seeing the prince might have been the deciding factor :D

The dress is hanging on her, she def. lacks height, and her styling cheapens it – all those excessive necklaces, watch, bracelets are unnecessary and her harsh bleached hair and bold lip are plain jarring. She doesn’t have what it takes to carry off this gown.

..Rosie was in a superior league.
