Gwyneth Paltrow In Saint Laurent – Great American Songbook Event Honoring Bryan Lourd

Gwyneth Paltrow In Saint Laurent - Great American Songbook Event Honoring Bryan Lourd

Gwyneth Paltrow joined Reese Witherspoon on the red carpet for the Great American Songbook event honoring Bryan Lourd at Alice Tully Hall on Monday (February 10) in New York City.

Opting for her second sequin dress in a row, the actress wore a Saint Laurent black long sleeve dress, of course of the mini variety and styled with pointy black booties. As we all know, she likes to use footwear to give her looks an edge.

What is uncommon here is her wavy tresses; perhaps she heard your pleas for a switch in the hair department.

The dress is nice enough, but the booties are a no for me.

I don’t like the shoes and I can’t stand her hair, as usual ! It’s a boring look, even with the sequins.

I dislike every single inch about this look: the poor light make up is up against a heeeeavy, shapeless, baggy dress matched by equally heavy booties (fully closed shoes with bare legs usually don’t do it for me, see also Saoirse yesterday). She’s had more spectacular misses, but she missed this one alright.

i actually like it… its cool n its chic… no matter how much complaints there are to shapeless dresses booties and stuff, celebs are still dressing this way… it says alot…

Better shoes would have helped a lot for me. Perhaps it is the lighting, but her makeup looks soo heavy–she looks way older than her years here.

I’ll be the cheese who stands alone. I like this and would totally wear it myself.

I just don’t like her hair.

I’m sorry but I can’t take that dress seriously on her. She looked gorgeous in sequinned Prada but this is just plain sloppy, in my opinion.
