Tilda Swinton In Schiaparelli Couture – ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’ Berlinale Film Festival Premiere

Tilda Swinton In Schiaparelli Couture - 'The Grand Budapest Hotel' Berlinale Film Festival PremiereThere was no missing Tilda Swinton at ‘The Grand Budapest Hotel’ premiere on Wednesday (February 6) during the 64th Berlinale Film Festival at the Berlinale Palast in Berlin, Germany.

After dialing down her look for the film’s photo call, the British star came out with fashion guns blazing in a Schiaparelli Spring 2014 Couture ensemble.

Slouchy yet still sharply tailored, the black suiting separates, white blouse and ruffles became nearly regal on Tilda’s statuesque frame, giving us sophistication and a slight daring edge—especially with that massive, door-knocker cocktail ring on her finger.

Naturally more mannish in appeal, as we are accustomed to seeing on Tilda, the entire look was really stripped straight from the runway, retaining even the quirky, feathered sandals and the hair and makeup styling.

While she didn’t take her blonde locks to the model’s colourful range of hues, she did have a similar slightly wild, barrel-curl ’do. And that bright red lip lacquer was fully intact, too.

Yay or nay?

I would have given her a pass on this look but I can not overlook those horrible shoes.

    Tragic, just tragic

  3. Christine February 7, 2014 at 12:11 #

    Not feeling this

  4. Yeliz February 7, 2014 at 11:58 #

Those shoes are beyond awful. I loathe this look.

  5. kane February 7, 2014 at 09:09 #

Nay for me. The footwear is of course (intendedly) outrageous, but my biggest problem with this look is the baggy pants.

      Those shoes, those pants!

HEEEEEELLLLLLLL YAAAAAAAAAAAAAY! I LOVE it! It’s so Tilda, she pulls this off so DAMN perfectly! What a statement! I love her, so unexpected and nothing to do with pretty frocks. Aaaaaaah Gosh I LOVE this, she’s a genius

I like Ms. Swinton’s style, and I can live with almost everything here (though, why the baggy pants?). But that wretched footwear. 🙁 Why, Tilda, why?!

No matter what anyone has to say…Tilda certainly is her own woman. While I love her independent spirit, I really don’t like this outfit.

  9. amanda February 7, 2014 at 04:05 #

Tilda’s style is not always great but this one, this one should have stayed home.

  10. Bindu February 7, 2014 at 02:17 #

was the runway model “modelled” after Tilda 🙂

Only time I’ve not been in love with her look. Hopefully the next will blow our minds as she’s finally gotten her one mandatory “miss” over with.

    • Luqe Mann February 7, 2014 at 04:03 #

Lol! If this is a mandatory miss then she’s doing it right by wearing that roadkill on her feet.

      • Cookie February 7, 2014 at 06:12 #

I am so unlucky in that some of my favourite designers sort of lose their mojo when they change houses (Raf Simons and Marco Zanini). I was obsessed with Marco’s Rochas work long before people took notice. That period was beautiful and eccentric, this is just nuts.

Love from ankles up. Imagining this with the delicious Sergio Rossi metallic suede sandals FC is featuring right now.

    • Dhppy February 8, 2014 at 03:45 #

Hell, I’d prefer crocs to those caveman diy looking sandals.

      • CreoleLady February 9, 2014 at 13:36 #

LOL! Well, at least she has a great pedi.

  13. Nat39 February 7, 2014 at 01:05 #

Tilda is fierce as always, she is totally selling this bold menswear-inspired statement except for those silly feathered sandals, they stick out like a sore thumb.

    • Sleepless in Chicago February 10, 2014 at 11:00 #

      Totally agree.

  14. Bec February 7, 2014 at 01:02 #

It’s not my cup of tea, but it suits her style and personality.

    • Alina February 7, 2014 at 05:49 #

I totally agree. It works for her.

      • nokia February 7, 2014 at 08:01 #
