Peter Pilotto For Target Launch

Peter Pilotto For Target Launch

The Peter Pilotto for Target launch event took place in New York City on Thursday (February 6). Having seen the collection up close myself at a dinner party hosted by (who will be carrying the entire line) in London last week, I was excited to see some of our favourite stars wearing the pieces.

As you would expect, all the pieces feature prints, which is very much the design duo’s signature.

Diane Kruger: The German actress worked a lace-sleeve printed blouse and step-hem skirt striped-and-floral-print ensemble with great aplomb. Having seen Diane master this look, which she styled with a Charlotte Olympia clutch and black ankle-strap pumps, I will be adding these two pieces to my collection of Peter Pilotto for Target pieces I already own.

Taylor Schilling: The blonde actress is wearing the same Peter Pilotto for Target lace-sleeve dual-floral-print dress that I own. You won’t be surprised to learn that I will not be styling mine with black pumps.

Alexa Chung: Slightly breaking the rules, the Brit ‘It’ girl broke up the pieces, wearing only a printed skirt from the Peter Pilotto for Target collection. The look was styled with a pale-blue sweater, tights, satin Louis Vuitton pumps and her can’t-live-without Dolce & Gabbana ‘Agata’ bag.

Dree Hemingway: Crop tops are here to stay so we might as well get used to it. Is Dree’s two-piece printed look on your Peter Pilotto for Target wish list?

I can’t wait for the mixed prints trend to die. I hate it with a passion.

Alexa for the win. A first for me?

Diane wears her bold print ensemble very well, I just wish the skirt was a tad longer. Alexa just makes it look pedestrian.

Diane looks great but this really isn’t my cup of tea. I like color and print but I think these pieces have too much going on.

All these looks are cute. Perfect collaboration.

I agree. I’d like to pick up some of these pieces myself 😉

I prefer Alexa Chung’s styling. I love a good print but these are just too busy h2t. I like how Chung calmed things down — the print she does wear is showcased instead of lost in the chaos.

LOVE Diane’s look. Those pieces she wore are gorgeous and she styled them perfectly. I also love Taylor’s dress and Dree’s skirt.
