Gwyneth Paltrow In David Koma – Hollywood Stands Up To Cancer

Gwyneth Paltrow In David Koma - Hollywood Stands Up To Cancer

Gwyneth Paltrow attended the Hollywood Stands Up To Cancer event on Tuesday (January 28) held at The Book Bindery in Culver City, California.

Before we get to the shocking new hairstyle, let’s focus on the dress.

David Koma is the go-to designer for sexy elegance, and that is what Gwyneth is giving us in this royal-blue neoprene-jersey cut-out Spring 2014 pencil dress with black leather trims.

The makeup is perhaps a little too bare for my liking on this occasion, but it kinda works with the sexy bed-hair featuring a ground-breaking (for Gwynie) side part.

Simple black open-toe Christian Louboutin ‘Toboggan’ sandals rounded out her look.

You can buy Gwyneth’s Christian Louboutin Toboggan Peep-Toes from Bergdorf Goodman.

I don’t think this dress works on her. The top isn’t really falterring.
I don’t like the shoes and the make up.

Something is not working. I think the top half part is unflattering

      I agree. this ain’t workin.

Her hair seems really weighed down by styling products – there’s not a naturally moving strand from root to tip.

The dress is gorgeous and looks amazing on her, but this time I wish she had worn that super sleek hairstyle she tends to favour.

Not sure about the dress, but I certainly hate the hair.

I like the contrast of the structured dress and loose hair. It would be too stiff had she sported the sleek hair style per usual.

There’s a difference between a minimalistic look and looking undone. She looks undone here. From the stringy hair to the lack of color in the makeup, the styling is not working for me. I also think the top is not the most flattering for her body shape. I do like the color though.

I love the gorgeous blue and how beautiful the sleek pencil skirt looks on her figure and that’s it. The hair and makeup are horrible and not a fan of the design of the top either.

Not a very attractive look for her–the dress is not flattering, nor are the hair or makeup. She probably should have stayed home.

She’s a beautiful woman..why would she go out into the glare of flashbulbs this way?

David Koma … the look gives me a fashion coma.

I don’t like the dress, but I’m glad she’s doing something a little different. I also really like the calculated ultra-barefaced look, though it reads best when one is wearing black, white or grey (Rooney Mara usually does this – though she may turn goth with the lipstick). I love the shoe choice.

I’ve noticed that Lily Collins and Jessica Alba were also having uncharacteristically bad hair at this event. Maybe there was something going on with the humidity levels where they were seated.
