Katy Perry In Giorgio Armani – Universal Music Group 2014 post-Grammy Party

Katy Perry In Giorgio Armani - Universal Music Group 2014 post-Grammy Party

Following the 2014 Grammy Awards, Katy Perry attended the Universal Music Group 2014 post-Grammy party held at the Ace Hotel Theater on Sunday (January 26) in Los Angeles, California.

In the fourth look of the night, following the red carpet, audience and performance looks, the singer wore a custom Giorgio Armani gown.

The fully iridescent, shimmering metallic gown featuring a plunging halter neck cascading into a skirt accented by mesh panels was styled with the same braided bun she sported on the red carpet.

Of all the looks she wore on the night, which was your favourite?

I tried really hard to find something to like about this. I’m at a loss.

Reminds me of the 10 Things I Hate About You prom!

Also side boob spillage is not cute.

Custom made? This is one of the worst dresses I have ever seen. It’s so dated, and doesn’t fit around her top half, I feel like I saw this dress at my high school prom – in the 90s.

I feel like I should whisper that I like this. Except for the clip-on bun. The color is pretty against her skin and the shimmer is alright with me. I think costumey dresses fit at the Grammys.

Dreadful. Everything but the “audience” look. And what’s with that–4 outfits????? Is she that important?

The colour, the cut, the shimmer..shudder. Tacky and ill fitting. And that hair! Ugh

Is she entering miss 1960 beauty pagent..? Ugh tacky.

My first thought was to put a shield in her hand to complete the image of a Wagnerian Valkyrie. Costumed, not for the Grammys but for an opera stage. On the upside, I like the color.

    ARMANI????? I’m shocked

sorry RCFA, I can’t pick one look, that I actually liked from her 🙁

    Awful from head to toe.

  13. Alex January 28, 2014 at 09:49 #

I can’t believe this is Armani. It looks so tacky.

I’m finding it quite hard to get my head around the fact that this gown is Armani. The same Armani who dressed Cate Blanchett at the Golden Globes? Katy’s dress looks stunningly cheap and tacky.

I totally agree with you. How can this awful cheap dress designed by Armani? It looks like a dress made for Carneval!
My “favorite” look was the second Valentino, but if many people think that J. Lawrence doesn’t “fit” Dior, for sure Katy Perry doesn’t “fit” Valentino Couture.

I’m onboard with most of Katy’s ‘quirk’, but I’m afraid this one looks like an old dance costume of mine from the 90s. Safe to say that’s not a good thing! How is this Armani? The mind boggles…

    It’s the 21st century, darling!

Wow. This is so dated and… ready for prom.

      My thoughts exactly

      • Carolina January 29, 2014 at 02:29 #

My thought was that she looks as if she’s ready for the Lawrence Welk show.

    • Yeliz January 28, 2014 at 11:01 #

Totally agree, this is so bad.

    • Anj January 28, 2014 at 18:44 #

Agree. From the hair to the dress, this is 90s prom. I feel like she went to a Little Mermaid themed affair.

      • sara January 30, 2014 at 00:43 #

Yes, I feel like the hair makes it super dated. Maybe it wouldnt have been as bad with different styling, but its very prom as a whole.
