Lady Gaga In Vintage Versace – Out In Paris

Lady Gaga In Vintage Versace - Out In ParisLady Gaga was every bit her own work of art on Monday (January 20), as she left the Bristol Hotel in Paris, France, on her way to the Palais Galliera, Museum of Fashion to see the Azzedine Alaïa exhibition with the designer.

The songstress was black and silver and sparkly all over, as she strutted out a vintage Gianni Versace jumpsuit, fully embroidered with crystals in a glammed-up argyle pattern.

This look was obviously all about excess, so of course, the mountain-high, black platform booties were back in action, which certainly made this an even more towering statement.

The glitter didn’t stop with there, either. As to be expected with Mother Monster, just as significant as the ensemble was her enchanted beauty look. A constellation of rhinestones were scattered across her complexion, which was also punched up with a matte red lip.

But that mop of metallic silver dreadlocks may just take the cake here. That ’do is way more than just icing on this outrageous confection.

Love or loathe?

Lady Gaga always makes me smile. This time she looks like a futuristic Raggedy Ann!

  2. Mimi January 22, 2014 at 22:33 #

The proportions are throwing me off.

I dont know why but I always imagine these looks on Daphne Guinness, she pulls it off better than Lady Gaga…

  4. isabelle January 22, 2014 at 13:38 #

nitpicking but, these aren’t dreadlocks!! they’re braids!

  5. Pedro January 22, 2014 at 10:32 #

The attention seeker looks terrible, as always.

Everyone is so tired of this woman

I had lost my mop, I just found it… on her head!
The outfit doesn’t bother me but those shoes need to go.

I don’t understand why she is even getting mentioned on a fashion critics page. She’s playing carnival or circus every day. This is not an outfit to be taken seriously – and I’m pretty sure she would secretly agree – so why put her in the same category as all the real fashionistas?

  9. J January 22, 2014 at 03:21 #

    ( …. )
    Nothing worth mentioning.

I prefer her when she’s not wearing a ‘costume’. And there’s a difference. The black Atelier Versace gown she just wore was all drama, but not a costume. It’s just too contrived. And I loathe those boots.

Besides, I’m too distracted by her hot bodyguard in the background to really care anyway. (Huge crush, lol!)

Loathe. Which is a shame because I loved her last Versace look (it’s very rare for me to like any Lady Gaga look).

Is anyone else getting an odd Trojan horse vibe ?

  13. Jimmy January 22, 2014 at 00:31 #

There are no words. She should just go away. She ruins everything she puts on her body.

    • Tess January 22, 2014 at 06:36 #

Really? I think this look is out of the box and a bit of fun. I think thinks would be drab if she went away, don’t you?

      • eleanorbvvv January 22, 2014 at 10:31 #

        Yeah “fun”… espacially those shoes…
She is going to need a legs transplant before she will be 30.

      • Jimmy January 22, 2014 at 11:12 #

I think if she seemed like she was in on the joke she might be fun but that doesn’t seem to be the case. It is funny that she is wearing a mop on her head though.

        • Armane January 22, 2014 at 11:38 #

I think she’s fabulous here. I tend to agree with Tess on this one, you’d probably be happy if everyone just wore diamante encrusted chiffon ball gowns… but how dull would life be!

          • Jimmy January 22, 2014 at 23:30 #

Actually Armane I would not really like everyone to wear diamante encrusted chiffon ball gowns. I have a very wide range of looks I love. I just don’t happen to think Lady GaGa wears clothes well for the most part.

ooops +1 intended for Armane’s comment.

    • ram January 22, 2014 at 07:13 #

no one else can pull this off… it is art just like only she can wear… are you tired of all those girls looking the same… she brings something different… I love it

  14. Joy January 22, 2014 at 00:19 #

I want to loathe it, but for some reason I really like it. The braids are crazy, the makeup is very cool but I’m sort of mesmerized by it. It must be because it’s Gianni Versace.

    • amy January 22, 2014 at 09:30 #

agree. I’m usually unimpressed by gaga fashion antics but this kinda works

  15. Rashmi January 22, 2014 at 00:15 #

LOVE! Somehow it all comes together

genuine eccentrics aren’t walking PR stunts. “look at me im soooo whacky” thinks she’s avant-garde but her music is so mainstream pop. she (or her PR team) tries too hard but will never be Bjork.

  18. Kittyvale January 21, 2014 at 23:40 #

Wow! Eccentric, avant garde and strangely fascinating. I love it.

+1 It took a long time of staring at it, but I really love the color palette, including the hair. Had it not been for the too-high shoes, it would’ve a perfect 10 for me!

      • chicshrieks January 22, 2014 at 06:51 #

+2 I love that Lady Gaga is never afraid to be daring, and I love it even more when a look actually works! I think the thing that really sold mean this look was the smattering of rhinestones on her face.

  19. Christine January 21, 2014 at 23:28 #

This look belongs in a circus

    • Alina January 22, 2014 at 05:37 #

      I totally agree.
