Chanel Spring 2014 Couture Front Row

Chanel Spring 2014 Couture Front Row

The Chanel Spring 2014 Couture show took place during Paris Fashion Week today in France. The front row attendees were treated to a show which looked like the designer had sought inspiration from his Spring 2009 Couture collection.

Tilda Swinton: The only person who really caught my eye in the front row was Tilda. The face of Chanel’s Pre-Fall 2013 collection opted for a Chanel Pre-Fall 2014 look, wearing a cashmere star-print sweater with a colourful fringed knit skirt, styled with an American flag scarf, knit tights and two-tone Chanel pumps. Coming from Scotland, she knows a thing or two about dressing for the current season.

Lily Allen: The Brit singer was also perched in the front row, opting for simple staples, jazzing up her look with a red-white-and-blue tweed coat, a colourful headpiece and a Chanel quilted shoulder bag. Adding yet more colour to her look, she opted for smoked blue eye makeup. Between Lupita Nyong’o, Keira Knightley and now Lily, I’m thinking I need to step up my eye-makeup game this season.

Olga Kurylenko: The actress went from temptress at Dior to quite pedestrian at Chanel. If it weren’t for the glossy red lips and those studded cuffs, I wouldn’t have even noticed this look.

Let’s ditch the ladies and talk about the dresses this season, shall we?
Most HIDEOUS couture show I have seen in years!!!
    There, I said it.
    the shape、fabric、hairstyle of the catastrophy.
now back to the ladies. they all look unflattering to me,even tilda.

Tilda looks like a painting, seeing her in person must be mesmerizing. The colors are really making her look ethereal.

They all look a mess. And that’s not shade towards them, it’s shade toward Chanel. Karl hasn’t delivered a collection worthy of wearing in a quite a few seasons…(Although I have caught a glimpse of the new couture collection and it is divine!)

+1 the last couple of gowns from this couture collection? Divine! Even though Tilda has a rare miss with this look, I must say that she looks really cosy.

I only like Olga Kurylenko’s shoes. Honestly… Tilda is wearing thousands of euros but nothing really worth the money.

Tilda by a long mile. She is selling the whole thing to me.
Lily’s coat is nice but her presentation is all over the place with those pants, the headpiece, the bracelets, the blue eye shadow…starting to look tacky. Olga looks lovely no matter what, but this is a bit too plain.

      Agree on all counts.
(I’m not sure anyone other than Tilda could make that ensemble work, but she certainly does!)

        Agree with both of you^^

Did anyone else see the Dior runway show? All I could think was, “POOR JENNIFER [LAWRENCE]!!!!!”

Nothing really stands out in a good way. I like Lily Allen jacket.

    Olga looks ok.
