Brit Marling In Proenza Schouler – ‘I Origins Sundance Film Festival Premiere

Brit Marling In Proenza Schouler - 'I Origins Sundance Film Festival Premiere

Brit Marling continued to showcase her sartorial style during the 2014 Sundance Film Festival while attending the premiere of ‘I Origins’ held at the Eccles Center Theatre on Saturday (January 18) in Park City, Utah following The Variety Studio: Sundance Edition..

Opting again for chic separates, the actress wore a Proenza Schouler black garment-printed cotton-crepe jacket and trousers from the Spring 2014 collection, which she styled with a Proenza Schouler tobacco suede bar clutch from the same collection as her metallic-gold Rupert Sanderson ‘Elba’ pumps.

While she is working the look – exquisitely, I must add – I would’ve loved to have seen this with tapered pants for a more streamlined look.

    This is beyond awful.

Yes. She looks stumpy. Like a tree stump.

I really like this and it is surprising because I rarely like the boxy short pant look. Maybe it is the chalk lines giving it a vertical emphasis, but I think she looks very chic in this outfit and I wouldn’t change a thing.

I really don’t care for this look. The length of the pants is really off putting.

I want to like this, but perfer it on the model. For some reason I actually really like the clunky sandals too. Brit on the other hand however doesn’t quite seem to have the necessary height.

…and I realise only now how much more flattering the plunging neckline is on the model. Wish Brit had kept it that way, although of course it comes off a little more risque.

        I had the same thought.

I really like this. It’s quirky, with proportions that most starlets wouldn’t go for, but she’s making it work. Love her hair, makeup, and shoes, but I’m not fond of that clutch with this look.

I agree that the cut of the pants could’ve been more flattering. Otherwise, I like this edgy ensemble.

What an ugly ensemble, exaggerated, comical and does nothing for her. It’s a “clown chic” territory.

…Now that I’ve seen Anna Dello Russo, I take the “clown chic” back.
I still don’t find it attractive though, it’s like an oversized cartoonish uniform of some sort.

I wished the pants were more streamlined too.

This works. It shouldn’t, but it does.
