Sarah Paulson In Rochas – 2014 SAG Awards

Sarah Paulson In Rochas - 2014 SAG Awards

Sarah Paulson hit the red carpet at the 2014 SAG Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium on Saturday (January 18) in Los Angeles.

The ’12 Years a Slave’ and ‘American Horror Story’ actress wore a white, Rochas dress with a Roger Vivier clutch, Manolo Blahnik shoes and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.

It’s an unusual dress combining sweet ruffles, a 1950s silhouette and a petticoat-esque skirt but there’s something very charming about it. Sarah is even pulling off the always-difficult ankle length.

A brand-new bob haircut and hot pink lip keeps Sarah’s look modern instead of cutesy.

I love the look more and the more the longer I look at it but I also expect many will disagree. What do you think?

Dislike it even more than the GG’s and not loving the platinum bob. Tres Bo Peep.

      Lol—“Tres bo peep”!!! Exactly!

Haha, so funny but yes, so true. Not liking this.

Isn’t she a little old to go to the prom?

    • Carla January 19, 2014 at 03:41 #

I agree. This would look great on Elle Fanning.

      • Taylahre January 19, 2014 at 09:58 #

Yes Elle fanning in my opinion would be the only person that could pull this off without looking like they are wearing a petticoat

  3. Christine January 19, 2014 at 01:36 #

    This is so twee.

This is a dress for Kiernan or Elle Fanning……

I love this look! She looks elegant and modern. Beautiful!

The dress is completely wrong for her to begin with, way too young, sweet and girly. What is she…baby ballerina?? And her haircut is plain jarring against the cutesy dress. Big miss for her.

  7. msd January 19, 2014 at 02:11 #

Too twee for me. It’s making her look weirdly stumpy too.

It photographs better than it looked on tv. It looked very very poofy and juvenile in motion.

I gave her a pass at the Golden Globes as her dress was very pretty, but this is no good for her. She is too mature for this cutesy look, and her hair is not doing her any favours either.

Oh dear no. Lovely woman, but that bodice is all wrong for her and the fabric tips the design into twee territory. Amazing, given that I did actually like her Golden Globes dress.

Lovely gown and it would look great on a teen star like Kiernan Shipka, but definitely not on Sarah. This is way too twee. Thumbs down.

I’m getting weird costumey vibes from this look :(

I’m sorry but this does not work at all. She looked gorgeous at the Globes because her dress was beautiful and age-appropriate too. This I can’t get on board with. Especially her hair, I have no words.

Ugh! Someone mentioned Kiernan Shhipka, and that would be great, or Ariel Winter…but this is dreadful. She looks better in statuesque ensembles; this is just silly. And the hair is SO terrible, exacerbated by the pose.

Hated this. It looked bad on the red carpet, but it looked really bad when she walked across the stage to present her movie. She looked awful bordering on ridiculous. I was cringing. One of my worst dressed for the night for all the reasons listed above.
