Natalie Dormer In Marios Schwab – 2014 SAG Awards

Natalie Dormer In Marios Schwab - 2014 SAG Awards

Natalie Dormer certainly brought her own shock-and-awe factor to the red carpet of the 2014 SAG Awards on Saturday (January 18) at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California.

The ‘Game of Thrones’ actress showed off a drastic new, half-shaven ’do, complete with a French braid in the back.

Although her boundaries-pushing, blonde hair was undoubtedly front and centre, she made sure her style followed suit in an edgy look from Marios Schwab’s Spring 2014 collection.

The contoured white gown was punctuated by black, cage-like netting that wrapped around her arms and back.

Keeping the rest of her styling on more minimal terms, she accessorized with a simple black clutch and sandals, along with a nude, barely-there makeup look.

That said, an ear cuff was a near requirement here, what with that newly exposed left side.

She looks amazing! So sexy, beautiful and chic!
Really, makes me doubt my heterosexuality…

I think if the hair on the bald spot side were faded, or just cut real short, instead of fully bald, it would look good and edgy.

Don’t like the hair, though it is for a role. The whole ensemble isn’t really to my taste.

The more I look at it, the more I like it. So rock-chic and at the same feminine (an aspect that is very important if you want to hit the red carpet on that style). Bravo!

hated the hair, but the look is sexy and edge!

She’s working with what she’s got and I think she pulls it off. She looks edgy and glam and feminine without being too over the top. The hair is so in your face, the dress sleek with a bit of edge, the makeup not too much…I think it works.

An interesting look, the netting around the arms must be quite restricting. A really don’t like the half shaved look so that puts me off but the dress and rest of the styling is pretty good.

Besides the hair, required by her new role (and she pulls it off quite well), I like her from head to toe.

  10. Claire January 19, 2014 at 05:59 #

LOVE it. She can pull it off.

    • gabis January 20, 2014 at 17:30 #

Agreed. This look is pure edginess and she is working the hell out of it. I love it.

Big no for me. I don’t like the new hairstyle and I can’t say that I love the dress.

This is not a look I care for, but she’s certainly pulling it off well, imo. Like Serenity said, she managed to combine rocker-chic and event-appropriateness, not an easy task.

  13. Serenity January 19, 2014 at 05:09 #

Sure, it’s a bit of a shocker, but she looks great anyway. The dress is a great complement to her new ‘do. It reads rocker-chic, yet still sophisticated and event-appropriate.

I like this look. It took a couple minutes but the hair has grown on me. For me, the hair makes the look.

great dress. weird hair but I like that she’s accessorizing it with her earcuffs.

  17. Diana January 19, 2014 at 03:29 #

She looks so beautiful and fierce. Even if the shave wasn’t for a role (Cressida in “Mockingjay”), she carries it off.

I have to admit. She is rocking this new hair style. The more I look at it, the more I like it on her.

What has she done to her hair!! Im glad I read a post above that its for Mockingjay but still I shocked. Not sure about the sleeves but it sure is rocker-badass-chic if I’ve ever seen it.

  19. Kathy January 19, 2014 at 03:19 #

I love this look, it’s completely badass but not in a clichéd way. The design of the “sleeves” is very interesting and unexpected.

  20. Christine January 19, 2014 at 03:18 #

This look is badass in a way. Good to know the hair is a for a role.

  21. molly January 19, 2014 at 03:15 #

I know its for Mockingjay, but that hair is god awful. I cant even look away from it for long enough to pay attention to the dress.

+1…just when we were happy Cassie has finally outgrown hers…….

  22. Prudence January 19, 2014 at 03:13 #

wtffffffffffffff??????? this is strictly for a role right??? no one can go from being so normal to fully off like this ?? what is going on ppl??

    • Kathy January 19, 2014 at 03:16 #

Calm down, she’s hardly the first person to shave half of her head…besides, it doesn’t look that different from just having all of her hair over on one shoulder.
