Camila Alves In Donna Karan Atelier & Matthew McConaughey In Dolce & Gabbana – 2014 SAG Awards

Camila Alves In Donna Karan Atelier – 2014 SAG Awards

Camila Alves was a bright spot on the red carpet of the 2014 SAG Awards in Los Angeles tonight (January 18).

The actress wore a dramatic, draped silk Donna Karan Atelier gown while her main man looked striking in Dolce & Gabbana.

There is little doubt that Camila is arm candy this award season, but she has definitely pulled out all the stops with this look. The colour is eye-catching and the gown is breath-taking and her figure is jaw-dropping.

A Christian Louboutin ‘Loubi Strass’ Bronze crystal box clutch and Casadei sandals accent the look, while her usual smokey and bronzed makeup are lovely.

I do wish she would have done something not quite so ‘beach-swept’ with her hair–the gown deserves something a bit more dramatic–but overall, a lovely look.

The colour is great but it’s not enough to prevent this dress from looking cheap. Unfortunately if anything I think the colour only accentuates the tackiness. Her half up/half down hairstyle doesn’t work here and it is partly responsible for the prom vibe we get. Not a great look from her.

I absolutely love this dress. The color & fit are amazing. I agree, her hairstyle kinda let me down. She’s obviously a beautiful girl and looks so great in this gown, but she could have upped the ante with a more striking hairdo. I think this is my fav as of yet for her this award season.

    Wow…what a beautiful colour!

  4. Sanya January 19, 2014 at 21:12 #

First I liked it, but more I look the more negative things I see.

I actually like the color on her. It is striking and she is glowing. What I don’t like is the stiffness of the dress. It looks as if the satin was draped over an inner iron corset. I’m all for supportive undergarments but not when they are obvious.

i love, love the colour but not the design. Matthew looks too skinny

  7. kane January 19, 2014 at 15:23 #

I’m getting bored with her choices.

The architecture of the dress is fantastic. They both look great as always.

  9. Yeliz January 19, 2014 at 10:59 #

The colour is great on her but I don’t like this gown. Matthew looks very dapper.

I don’t know, I like the yellow but the dress is just so pageanty/miss universe!

I love this color on her. The dress looks sexy and luxurious on her. I agree about the hair though.

I’ve really been enjoying their red carpet looks, for the most part. Here I think Matthew looks great. Camila looks pretty, but her gown seems awfully heavy and shiny and just so very, very, yellow/gold/banana/I’m-not-sure-exactly-what-to-call-this-color-but-just-no. 🙁

  16. Serenity January 19, 2014 at 05:19 #

It might be a tad bit on the lots of pleats side, but she looks stunning regardless. I think the color is so rich and complementary to her coloring-she really looks beautiful, as always.

He is a treat on the red carpet. As far as men go, he really mixes it up and makes bold choices. Looks great here.

I don’t care for the fabric, and I always find this color jarring and harsh. Lena certainly looked no better in it.

  18. amy January 19, 2014 at 03:31 #

Matthew looks handsome as always. Camila’s dress would be better if less heavier. the color works perfectly with her skin but the folds and the fabric aren’t really helping

  19. Christine January 19, 2014 at 03:17 #

Not liking the dress. The dress is giving me a macy/department store vibe. Never been a fan of the color mustard on the RC.

    Matthew looks very handsome.

    Matthew is impecable once again!
At first glance I liked Camila’s look but I’m not sure now. I think the hair and makeup let it down and it feels a bit heavy. …I’m on the fence.

Looks like they copied Angelina and Brad from a few years back at Cannes

  22. Nat39 January 19, 2014 at 03:12 #

Looks like a cheap promy mess. Matthew looks great.

    • Alina January 19, 2014 at 05:46 #

      I totally agree.

    • Nat January 19, 2014 at 16:11 #
