Michelle Dockery In Prada – Entertainment Weekly’s SAG Awards Nominees Party

Michelle Dockery In Prada - Entertainment Weekly's SAG Awards Nominees Party

Michelle Dockery attended Entertainment Weekly’s celebration honoring the 2014 SAG Awards nominees, held at the Chateau Marmont on Friday (January 17) in Los Angeles, California joining Jane Krakowski, Lupita Nyong’o, Kerry Washington and Alyssa Milano.

I’m sure you have been waiting to see who, apart from Anna Wintour, would wear a look from Prada’s Spring 2014 collection. Are you surprised it was Michelle?

Frankly, I didn’t think someone like Michelle would be drawn to such a bold look, but then looking back as some of her red carpet choices colour and prints have been the underlining factor.

Slightly modified from the runway, her bedazzle-free frock was styled with black Brian Atwood ‘Besame’ pumps and a silver metallic Calvin Klein clutch.

Love, as much as I do, or loathe?

I really didn’t thought that I would like any look from this collection, but Michelle totally won me over with this look. I love the simple styling, she looks gorgeous.

Same for me! I was expecting those dresses and prints on people in the streets during fashion weeks but not on the red carpet! And Michelle pleasantly surprised me!

      I totally agree.

Totally unexpected but pleasently surprised, I’m loving it! It’s bold and fun and she wears it well. Would have loved to see the runway look though

      +2. LOVE!!!! Beyond.
I also saw Anna Dello Russo wearing this collection, naturally.

The print is plain absurd. It’s a no from me.

I agree. Her refined hair, makeup and accessories also add such a jarring contrast that just accentuates the absurdity of that dress.

  4. Lee Ann January 18, 2014 at 20:54 #

I just don’t think she works this dress – the shoes are bland and the hair is wrong.

  5. Tamia January 18, 2014 at 21:12 #

Loathe! She looks like a fashion victim. She is so overrated style-wise, she doesn’t have a signature style, just jumps from one style to the next.

LOATHE. Not Michelle’s fault, that entire collection made me want to wash my eyes with bleach.

While personally not a big fan of the dress, I think the modifications make it quite wearable. She looks great in it and I love that her choice is unexpected. Also, I think it’s kind of cute that the face on it looks a little like her…….

I don’t like the dress but she looks really great here.

  9. Fanny January 18, 2014 at 21:50 #

I like it. I just wish she’d kept some of the sparkle and also the plunge from the runway, but perhaps for the event this version was the better choice.

That weird modified top made me look at it three times before I realised it wasn’t a dirty rag thrown over her boobs but a print.

    Not liking this

I love this look! In fact this is my first very early contender for BDOTW. I think she’s very bold to have made this choice! She did a sensible thing by keeping the styling simple to keep the focus on the dress.

LOVE AS MUCH AS YOU! <3

I wish she had worn the runway version. I really don’t like the olive green (??) section. I kind of loathe this unfortunately.

+1, the modifications make the dress so plain. The glitz is way more interesting. And I’m generally TeamDockeryFashion

I prefer the runway version.. Michelle’s dress doesn’t even have a waist.. I don’t see it! It’s jyst a straight, no shaped fabric..
