Allison Williams In Alexander McQueen – ‘Girls’ Season 3 London Premiere

Allison Williams In Alexander McQueen - 'Girls' Season 3 London Premiere

Allison Williams joined Lena Dunham and Zosia Mamet for the UK premiere of ‘Girls’ Season 3 held at Cineworld Haymarket on Wednesday (January 15) in London.

With her co-stars opting for a cocktail dress and jumpsuit respectively, it’s fair to say that Allison is totally overdressed for the occasion.

Had the premiere been in Leicester Square for a movie this would’ve been perfect, but I feel that this Alexander McQueen Spring 2014 halter gown with a colourful embroidered neckline deserved a far grander occasion.

I will do a slight U-turn and say that Allison does look amazing in this gown.

That red lip was a perfect way to further enliven the embroidery on her frock, her body looks outstanding and I much prefer this look over the McQueen gown she wore to the Globes on Sunday, but I still feel like this was a terrible waste – especially when Alexander McQueen gowns are so few and far between on the red carpet.

Allison has been on fire. This is another great look for her. To me, she has been the standout star of the last few months along with Lupita.

The star of this show who usually does great on the RC gets it wrong when the other two who usually make bad choices get it right. Interesting.

+1. But it does look spectacular!

She looks fantastic but overdressed obviously, and reminded me of Elizabeth Banks’s Alexander McQueen during her promo tour. I actually much prefer Elizabeth’s choice of a light pink lipcolour – Allison’s bold red lip is an overkill considering the bright colourful beading at the neckline.

She is overdressed. The look is ok.

She looks fantastic. Nice to see an Alexander McQueen on the red carpet.

I agree with you. and I’m so happy because nowadays I can’t see alexander mcqueen on the red carpet as many times as I’d like.

She is a serial over dresser.

Anyone would think she was the star of the show

She mentioned during the GGs that it was her first time to wear Alexander McQueen! This makes twice in one week now.

I love all the chances she is taking with her style. Well done!

Definitely overdressed but stunning nonetheless. Although I don’t really like the red lips and this gown also reminds me of Elizabeth Banks’ gown from the Catching Fire promo tour. Still I do love this look, but prefer her Golden Globes look.

My fave of the two McQueens for sure. And I adore the styling–slicked back hair, crimson lips. J’adore the colors in the dress. Yes, it’s reminiscent of Elizabeth’s dress, and it’s also similar to her Globes dress as, but with them all being from the same collection, I suppose that’s to be expected. This is BDOTW for me, even if it is ‘overdressed’. It doesn’t bear any influence over my love for it.

She needed no jewels — the sapphire of her eyes and the fire engine red lip echo both colors in the dress. Fab look.

Great look, but something keeps me from loving it.

    Allison looks perfect!
    Overdressed? Yes. Gorgeous? YES!

This is one of the only looks I’ve liked from her, even if she has overdone it for the occasion.

I always get and uptight, trying to be miss perfect, goody two shoes vibe whenever she takes to the red carpet.

I wish she’d loosen up a bit and give us something young and fresh.

Amazing!! I don’t even care a little that this may be overdressed.

I really like this look on her.

    She is so pretty.
