Malin Akerman In Ralph Rucci – InStyle and Warner Brothers Golden Globes Awards Party

Malin Akerman In Ralph Rucci - InStyle and Warner Brothers Golden Globes Awards PartyMalin Akerman was also among the lovelies at the 2014 InStyle and Warner Bros. Golden Globe Awards post-party, held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, California on Sunday night (January 12).

The actress took a measured sexy approach in a Ralph Rucci Fall 2013 sheer-effect, black gown with geometric cutouts at the bodice.

While I could understand her petite earrings and dazzling cocktail rings, the wood-grain clutch was an interesting addition that seemed a strange contrast to the sultry glamour here.

Loose waves, swept behind her shoulders, a kohl-rimmed eye and a nude lip completed the look.

You weren’t such a fan of her last, more revealing attempt at cutouts. How does she fare this time around?

Malin, NO. This has got to stop! All of these looks that are so bare look desperate and on top of it, this one in particular makes her look so boxy and wide. It’s supremely unflattering for someone with such a killer bod.

+2 all her recent looks are (desperately) screaming: look at me, I’m still attractive even though i just had a baby and split from my husband…

I think this looks much better on her. I wouldn’t have even clicked on the link to her last look if I had remembered what it was, because it’s so unpleasant to look at. This, however, is much more flattering and tasteful. The clutch is an outlier, though.

I’m not a fan of sheer cutouts but this is pretty classy as those things go. It’s SO MUCH better than her last one. I think she’s working it. Don’t understand that clutch, though.
