José María Forqué Film Awards Red Carpet Roundup

José María Forqué Film Awards Red Carpet Roundup

There were many more Spanish beauties taking to the red carpet joining Norma Ruiz and Juana Acosta for the José María Forqué Film Awards held at the Palacio de Congresos in Madrid, Spain on Monday (January 13).

Mar Saura: Working a unique and colourful abstract-printed look, the actress wore a Gabriela Cadena Spring 2014 fitted mini styled with bright-yellow Carolina Herrera sandals, which are to die for, and a Jimmy Choo clutch. While it feels less dressy than the other attendees, it’s a well-put-together look.

Aura Garrido: Nominated as Best Actress for her movie ‘Stockholm’, Aura wore a very familiar Christian Dior Resort 2014 strapless colour-block gown styled with white Ursula Mascaró pumps, a matching Jimmy Choo clutch featuring gold hardware, and Magerit jewels. You may remember that Marion Cotillard wore the same dress during Cannes Film Festival.

Natalia de Molina: Nominated as Best Actress for ‘Vivir es facil con los ojos cerrados’, Natalia wore a Roksanda Ilincic Fall 2013 dress which will also have a touch of familiarity about it as you may remember that Cate Blanchett wore the same dress in a peachy colour last year. Considering the orange line on the dress, she styled her look with an orange Stella McCartney clutch, with blue heels peeking out from under her dress.

Elena Anaya: The actress wore an ivory bell-shaped dress featuring a mirrored bird motif styled with green pumps.

Celia Freijeiro: The actress was totally overwhelmed by this Michael Kors crystallized gown with a black peplum train, which she styled with a Jimmy Choo clutch and Patricia Rosales peep-toes. I loved the look on Cody Horn; not so much here. She has neither the height nor the stature to pull this off.

WOW, Mar looks SO pretty! BDOTW worthy.

In fact, the three girls on the first row look really good. IMO, Aura wears that Dior dress better than Marion because the sleek hairstyle works better with the sporty feel of the dress and simply because she’s not someone we’re tired of seeing wearing Dior.

I should hate the dior look as it has been worn many times but the woman looks stunning in it. the Roksanda is also lovely but seems a tad underdressed.

This is going to sound insane but I thought all of these people were the same person!

Going by the looks, my favorite is Elena Anaya.

Lol me too! It took a few seconds before I realized that it was 5 different women!

Anyway, it’s amazing how different a dress can look on different women with different styling. On Marion that Dior dress looked boring and frumpy…on Aura it is divine!! I simply adore her look here!

I’m glad I’m not the only one! I don’t think I ever would’ve admitted it first, though! Lol!

I like Mar and Natalia’s looks. Aura’s dress looks bottom heavy and the last two ladies looks are just OK.

My favorite is Aura Garrido. She looks absolutely stunning. Definitely a BDOTW contender.

Mar Saura is my favourite here.

Much prefer how Aura wears this Dior dress, better than Marion. The look feels too deja vu but she is the best of the bunch here for me. And I like Mar Saura, her colorful pretty look stands out, but seems bit underdressed.

All my thoughts summed up perfectly, as usual. Thank you, Nat39!
