Kate Mara In J. Mendel – 2014 Golden Globes Awards

Kate Mara In J Mendel - 2014 Golden Globes Awards

Kate Mara attended the 2014 Golden Globes Awards, held at the Beverley Hilton Hotel in Beverley Hills, California on Sunday (Janaury 12).

The actress wore a J. Mendel Pre-Fall 2014 gown with a deep v-neckline and a sheer chiffon pleated underlay which shows off more boobage than we are used to seeing from the timid star.

While this feels like something Judy Jetson would wear to a grand occasion, due to the futuristic vibe considering the fabric and the shoulders, I think Kate makes it work.

Opting for subtle jewels by Lorraine Schwartz, she completed her look with kohl-rimmed eyes and a backcombed updo.

A bit ghostly (not in a good way) considering the very blonde hair and the makeup.

It also look like something Cate Blanchett would wear

    I really love this!

Well, she looks really beautiful, but there is too much boobage for GG.

She nails it i think. the futuristic vibe is something that she would wear

Lol I would never call her “timid.” Have you seen any of her interviews? She’s quite raunchy and daring personality-wise.

  7. Yeliz January 13, 2014 at 10:38 #

I don’t like this at all, neither the boobage nor the hairstyle.

She looks good. The hair works here! I like this a lot actually

Love everything but the hair color. Blonde does not suit her.

    I really like this!

Not great, but she’s done worse for me.

Absolutely stunningly beautiful. I gasped when i saw the picture. Love! Too bad her sister Rooney didn’t attend- would have loved to see what she would have worn

the hair ruins this, if her hair was more auburn and glossy rather than pale yellow and powdery I would have liked this.

I agree, that hair could ruin any look for me. The dress is gorgeous, but it needs movement, as in the lookbook. I know it’s unfair to compare, but it just looks heavenly, whereas in ‘real life’ it-literally-pales in comparison. I also don’t like how she’s modified the neckline. But I also don’t like so much boobage. Therefore, I just don’t think this was the right dress for her. Someone more flat chested, with dark hair, a bit taller…wait, I’ve got it…how ’bout a certain brunette named Rooney??

    Her hair looks terrible.

It’s a beautiful dress, but I don’t think she pulled it off. She looks a bit washed out and I’m sorry, but that is too much cleavage. A woman with a smaller bust would make this look stunning, but it’s just distracting on her.
