Heidi Klum In Marchesa – 2014 Golden Globe Awards

Heidi Klum In Marchesa - 2014 Golden Globe Awards

Heidi Klum was among the many stars to walk the red carpet of the 2014 Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles this evening (January 12).

The supermodel wore a gauzy black and white Marchesa gown from the designer’s Spring 2014 collection, a Marchesa clutch and Christian Louboutin ‘Gwynitta’ sandals.

I’m honestly disappointed here. By shortening the lining of the dress and raising the belt up to create an empire waist, Heidi has seriously diminished the romantic quality this gown had on the runway.

The necklace is also completely out of place.

On a positive note, I like seeing Heidi mix things up from her normal tightly pulled updo and she wears the thick fringe quite well.

Another miss from her and I’m not even surprised.

    Heidi + Marchesa = mess

  3. Christine January 13, 2014 at 03:34 #

Looks like a variation of the dress Blake Lively worn. I am not liking this on Heidi.

  4. Anne Gallagher January 13, 2014 at 03:37 #

She ruined the style with her edits. The necklace is really out of place.

Oh my goodness! I hope this is just a bad photo because otherwise she looks (facially) like herself in her old lady Halloween costume. No. No. No.

The waistline is too high on the gown, the necklace is unnecessary. Just no.

Sigh … typically awful Marchesa dress made worse by the choker-style necklace and limp hair.

For a supermodel lately her fashion sense has been that of a train wreck ….disappointed is an understatement

Seriously what did you do to this dress heidi. Why all of the modifications? I agree with you FC she shouldnt have raised the waist and there is no place ever for that necklace. Total mess.
The dress from the lookbook however I like.

This was one of my favourite looks of Marchesa’s Spring collection, and Heidi has ruined it. I can’t for the life of me work out how she managed to make such a romantic dream of a gown look so ordinary.

Typical Heidi. Despite the fact that she was once a supermodel or a so-called fashion judge, the german country girl’s bad taste is always pumping in her veins.

Absolutely horrible. Like 90’s babydoll goth mixed with a saloon girl. So bad.

This looks a bit… western-y. Does it look western…y to anyone else? She could be wearing boots and a denim jacket with this.

      YES! My first thought also.

Just when I thought I had my ‘Worst dressed of the night’, Heidi pops onscreen. I should’ve known to reserve judgment until seeing her. I really wish she would stop wearing Marchesa. The brand does not suit her in the slightest, and she’s not doing herself or the designers any favors by wearing it.

The dress looks like an old piano shawl.

  15. Jessica January 13, 2014 at 06:02 #

I’ve read some people thought she looked like Goldie Hawn, but personally I saw more Robin Byrd! Yikes…

I don’t hate it, usually she’s showing too much skin or wearing really bad designs, so i consider this an improvement

Between the choker, the fringe and the print, spaghetti-straps and visible bra-effect of the dress, this whole look screams early 2000’s to me. Had she worn this to the Golden Globes 2002, she would have been named best dressed!

  18. TL January 13, 2014 at 07:42 #

Not being mean, but I want to give her ‘Worst dressed of the night’

  19. Louise January 13, 2014 at 08:12 #

I hate the necklace… and the hair

  20. Sanya January 13, 2014 at 10:23 #

I really don’t know what to say, but every time I see Heidi I get seriously dissapointed in her outfit choices. I have a feeling that she can destroy any dress in the world.

  21. amy January 13, 2014 at 12:08 #

    bad

  22. dee January 13, 2014 at 13:58 #

I like the dress on her but the hair it too casual and the necklace is too much.

  23. Betelgeuze January 13, 2014 at 14:03 #

I’m sorry, but this look screams 90’s so loud to me I can almost hear the first season of Sex and the City played in the backgound.

  24. Mare January 13, 2014 at 15:22 #

Why does she always wear high necklines or this kind of necklaces…it doesn’t suit her at all.

  25. Anushree January 13, 2014 at 15:28 #

Such dull styling, she needed a pop of colour!

  26. kane January 13, 2014 at 17:09 #

I don’t even hate the dress as much as I hate the necklace. Doesn’t mean that I don’t hate it though.

  27. Kitty January 22, 2014 at 06:40 #

omg,u really think the thick fringe works for her? it’s totally out of place for this gown, just like the necklace!
