Kate Bosworth In Christian Dior – Art of Elysium Heaven Gala

Kate Bosworth In Christian Dior - Art of Elysium Heaven Gala

Kate Bosworth made her first red carpet appearance of 2014 at the Art of Elysium ‘Heaven’ Gala held at Skirball Cultural Center on Saturday (January 11) in Los Angeles, California.

The actress wore a Christian Dior Spring 2014 frock for the occasion which I loved on the runway, but I’m not quite feeling that same love on Kate.

Maybe it’s the length of this pale-blue embellished and pleated frock on Kate, or maybe the accessories are a tad bland, but this is just OK for me when I expected it to be great.

A simple ponytail and a hot-red lip rounded out her look.

Yes it looks better on the runway
Something about the blue pleating looks cheap on Kate
Still I find that design intriguing

“… but this is just OK for me when I expected it to be great.” +1

I kind of see why she picked black accessories, but I think there are better options.

    Not good.

Not a good look. The dress is doing her no favors.

The dress is intriguing but she is not selling it with that awkward stance and her styling is off – the accessories are uninspiring, the lip colour is wrong/too harsh for the look (pink would’ve been a good choice), a slightly shorter length and a silver sandal would’ve looked better.

I completely agree with all of the above. Yet, somehow, she still looks beautiful.

    One word: No.

This is a straight-up ugly dress and she’s just drowning in all that material.

The length his all wrong for her. I must admit I am not a fan of this particular Christian Dior collection. I find this dress to be a bit fussy.
