Octavia Spencer In Michael Kors – AFI Awards 2014

Octavia Spencer In Michael Kors - AFI Awards 2014

Octavia Spencer joined many of her fellow style mavens at the 14th annual AFI Awards Luncheon at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills this afternoon (January 10).

The actress was a bright-spot in a lovely black and green pleated Michael Kors dress.

The decision to accessorize with leopard print is a huge ‘yes’ in my book. I love the way the clutch and shoes work as ‘neutrals’ against the bright green.

Simple EF Collection jewels, a white mani, major curls and understated makeup complete her look.

All I can say is, yes, Octavia, yes. Are you as smitten as I am?

  1. I love this new direction for Octavia. Tadashi dressed her beautifully, but this is fresh. Once you’ve worn the same designer over, and over and over again it all sort of looks the same. She looks so beautiful! She looks 10 years younger.

  2. Very striking and flattering choice. the dress is perfect for her. I agree her hair is overwhelming her pretty face a tad, but she looks wonderful nonetheless.

  3. Being a big girl myself, I always look to Olivia Spencer as one of my style inspirations. I love when she takes chances and moves away from the big girl comfort zone of plain dresses , so I am quite smitten with this bold look and the leopard print accessories.

  4. OK, that’s it, the hair has completely taken over her pretty face. It’s too much. I like the idea of the animal print but just shoes or clutch, not both.

    1. Agree! If that is a wig – wrong choice! If it’s her hair, that is a horrible cut. Not liking her head space at all! The dress however looks great, and I like the clutch and shoes, but not together.

    2. Ditto. The matching animal print shoes and clutch are just too much/too literal together, should’ve been either one or the other. Also agree about the hair.
