Dita von Teese In Carolina Herrera – LoveGold Luncheon Honouring Michelle Dockery

Dita von Teese In Carolina Herrera - LoveGold Luncheon Honouring Michelle Dockery

Dita von Teese attended the LOVEGOLD luncheon celebrating Michelle Dockery at Chateau Marmont on Thursday (January 9) in Los Angeles, California.

The burlesque star continued her love affair with all things Carolina Herrera, wearing a rich purple 3/4 sleeve Fall 2013 sheath dress with a waist-cinching centre enhancing her hourglass silhouette.

Opting to wear the dress without all the adornments we saw on the runway, Dita styled the look with matching satin Louboutins and a tassel-accented Corto Moltedo clutch.

Is it time for Dita to switch things up, or when it comes to Dita do you believe that if it ain’t broke don’t fix it?

I love the color of the dress.
    Dita looks perfect, as always.

I’m unsure about the waistband section. Might these wrinkles even be the desired effect? Be it as it may, I think I prefer the cleaner, belted version on the runway. I like this look, prefering it by far in fact to the last look we saw of her the other day. Dita clearly got her style and it would be shocking if we saw her in denims and a t-shirt in an unguarded moment. As she sticks to this style it doesn’t come off as costumey as, say, Scarlett’s look yesterday was (at least to me). At the same time she isn’t avert to colour, different lengths or cuts, so I don’t mind her style as much as, say, Rooney’s sometimes, who’s obsession with black and/or white at times can be maddening.

      *whose, sorry!

I know what you mean and I agree, it’s her style and she’s wearing it well. Still, a change in the hair/makeup-section would be rather nice

Fantastic look and I love this on her. I’m on the if it ain’t broke ….. Train when it comes to her.

She looks great from the ankles up. I don’t like the shoes.

She never fails to looks flawless. I admire so much how she’s always true to herself and her style, and that Carolina Herrera collection was made for her.

Don’t “fix” it. There’s nothing to fix. She is who she is and has embraces a classic style without it looking like she’s going to a costume party (completely agree with kane’s comment about that)!

I totally agree with both of you!

I agree with all of you! She stands out as an individual in a sea of stars who haven’t figured out their own style, so they just dress the way they think they ‘should’. She never gets old for me. She’s truly a style icon, IMO.

When she wears a lot of black, I start to get restive but I love this — fit and color.

Oh, how lovely! I never tire of Dita.

  12. Jen January 11, 2014 at 16:32 #

I love her style. My only regret on this one is that she didn’t wear the blue version.

I adore Dita’s style and it is never boring to me. I don’t know what it is but she is the only person that I could never say ‘switch it up’ to. Gorgeous as always, the colour is just divine though I do love the blue as well.
